Destruction of property $1000 or more 16:00:00 240424000982 R/O while on patrol witnessed the Suspect in the 200 Block of C Street NE smashing a large rock onto a fence, damaging the fence. R/O made contact with the Suspect in the same location. While on scene the pastor of the church approached the R/O and wanted to press charges for the damage that occurred. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS
NO Valid Permit + COUNTERFEIT VEHICLE DOCS 14:35:38 240424000979 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE with a temporary tag tapped to the back of the vehicle. R/O observed that the brake lights did not illuminate when the Suspect stopped the vehicle for a red light. R/O initiated a traffic stop at the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Further inspection of the vehicle's tag revealed the tag was fictitious. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 21:08:00 240423000969 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 300 Block of Second Street SE with what appeared to be a fictitious temporary tag displayed. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Second Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed it to be expired. Further investigation revealed a fictitious tag was taped over the expired tag. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (MISDEMEANOR) (SIMPLE ASSAULT) + FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING 11:06:00 240423000956 R/O responded to the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE for the report of an assault. Once on scene R/O was met by the Complainant Officer who reported that while attempting to stop the Suspect for a traffic violation he was struck with a swinging elbow and pushed to the ground. The Suspect then got onto a scooter and fled the scene. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS responded and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 20:14:00 240423000968 R/O observed a motorcycle, with no tag displayed, driving westbound in the eastbound lane in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check on the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + NO PERMIT 21:44:00 240422000954 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW with no running lights. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit through the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. R/O observed the Suspect had trouble responding to questions and droopy eyes. SFSTs were conducted. Due to signs of impairment, Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing.
NO PERMIT 7:40:00 240422000947 R/O observed a vehicle in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW displaying an expired temporary registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Third Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not have a valid permit through the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 0:43:00 240420000938 R/O observed a vehicle with no lights on travelling in the 100 Block of Third Street NW. A traffic stop was initiated in the 200 Block of C Street SW. Upon approach of the vehicle, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage that emanating from the vehicle. A/O responded to the scene, and conducted SFSTs on the Suspect. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to HQ and processed.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE | DCC 50DC2201.05[B][1] X 23:36:00 240421000944 R/O responded to the 300 Block of Second Street SE for report of a vehicle parked with its lights on, with both the driver and passenger slumped in their seats. Upon approach, R/O tapped on the window and received no response. R/O made contact with the driver and upon speaking with the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 3:38:00 240420000939 R/O observed a Suspect who drove in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. The Suspect exited the vehicle, and urinated. The Suspect re-entered the vehicle, and drove off. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 800 Block of North Capitol Street NE. R/O spoke with the Suspect, and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage that emitted from the Suspect's breath. R/O conducted SFSTs. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to HQ and processed. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed an open bottle of alcohol on the driver's side floorboard.
