R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. While R/O was completing multiple notices of infractions, the Suspect accelerated at a high rate of speed passing through a solid red signal. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the tags were expired, and a traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. During the traffic stop, R/O could smell a faint odor of cannibis emanating from the vehicle and observed that the Suspect's eyes were dilated. Additionally, the Suspect admitted to consuming marijuana earlier in the day. SFSTs were conducted, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A stop was conducted at the same location. The Suspect stated they had a knife in their right front pocket. R/O retrieved the knife, confirming it was a switchblade. The Suspect was also in possession of bolt cutters, a cut bicycle lock, and a bicycle. CIS confirmed the items to be those matching a stolen bicycle and destroyed lock from Delaware Avenue and C Street NE. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The vehicle then sped past heavy traffic while changing lanes without signaling. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of North Capitol Street NE. During the stop, R/O observed the Suspect's eyes were red and speech was slurred. The Suspect then accelerated at a high rate of speed and fled the traffic stop. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

Upon approach, R/O observed that the individual was slumped over and unresponsive. After gaining the Suspect's attention, R/O observed that the Suspect's speech was slurred and a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanated from their person. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O then observed the Suspect drive northbound in the southbound lane of the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was initiated in the Unit Block of D Street NW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed a cup with a liquid consistent with an alcoholic beverage. |
