DEFACING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY 9:20:00 240614001522 R/O-1 and R/O-2 were patrolling in the Unit Block of First Street NW when they observed graffiti written in black marker on one of the benches. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER + UNLAWFUL ENTRY UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES RESISTING ARREST 8:54:00 240613001523 R/O observed the Suspect walking towards the Lower West Terrace, a secured and restricted area of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspect was screaming in an aggressive manner and knocking over bike racks securing the restricted area. R/O approached the Suspect and advised the Suspect to stop but the suspect refused. The Suspect grabbed A/O-1 and punched him. R/O, A/O-1 and A/O-2 attempted to gain control of the Suspect who struggled and physically resisted. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 15:52:00 240614001528 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE with an expired registration. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a confirmed extraditable warrant out of Prince Georges County Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 14:18:00 240613001519 R/O observed the Suspects chanting, holding up signs and blocking access to a room in a Senate Office Building. The Suspects were given three warnings to cease and desist the demonstration activity, but refused to do so. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspects were arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT II 15:20:00 240613001520 R/O was in the 800 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE when an employee of the Whole Foods grocery in the block pointed to the Suspect who had stolen items from the store. R/O approached the Suspect and gave a command to stop. The Suspect dropped the items and fled the scene. The Suspect was last seen in the area of Second and I Streets SE. A canvass of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) + THEFT BY TAKING (ALL OTHER LARCENY) 19:30:00 240612001507 R/O responded to the intersection of Delaware Avenue and C Street NE for the report of a stolen bicycle. The Complainant stated they locked their bicycle up at the location on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at approximately 0900 hours. When the Complainant returned at approximately 1800 hours the bicycle was gone. A canvass of the immediate was negative. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - IST OFFENSE + NO PERMIT FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE FLEE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER 19:43:00 240611001491 R/O observed a disabled vehicle in the eastbound lane in Unit Block of E Street SE. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect standing next to the vehicle. The Suspect entered the vehicle and was able to drive to the side of the road before it became disabled again. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid operator's permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. Additionally, the Suspect had a confirmed extraditable warrant out of Arlington County, VA. Once additional units arrived on scene, the Suspect appeared agitated and then fled in the 500 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. The Suspect was apprehended in the same location. The Suspect admitted to ingesting crack cocaine prior to his vehicle becoming disabled. The Suspect was arrested and processed at
PROTECTION OF MEMBERS AND OFFICERS OF CONGRESS, AND FAMILY MEMBERS X 8 + UNLAWFUL ENTRY X 8 20:00:00 240612001508 R/O was posted at 1500 South Capitol Street SE (Nationals Park) for the Congressional Baseball Game when he observed eight (8) Suspects jump down from the stands onto the field, and charge toward several Members of Congress. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; USE OF POSSESSION; DELIVERY OR SALE; FORFEITURE + ASSAULT UPON PEACE OFFICER PERSON CAUSES/THREATENS BODILY INJURY/PROPERTY DAMAGE IN RETALIATION (AGGRAVATED ASSAULT) POSSESS PROHIBITED WEAPON 10:04:00 240612001497 R/O responded to the walkway leading up to the South Door of the U.S. Capitol Building for loud and frequent outburst from an individual. R/O observed the Suspect yelling and singing loudly. R/O began questioning the Suspect and he became agitated and pulled a straight glass pipe out of his pocket which appeared to have burned residue within it. The Suspect was placed into handcuffs. R/O began a search incident to arrest and located a foldable knife approximately 7 inches in length with a handle that was also brass knuckles in the Suspect's back. The Suspect began spitting towards the R/O and a spit -prevention mask was applied. The Suspect was arrested and procssed at HQ. CSS responded to process the scene.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE 23:43:00 240613001509 R/O responded to the Southwest Drive of the U.S. Capitol Building for an investigation. The Complainant stated that they found the Suspect sitting in the driver's seat of their vehicle, and then witnessed them head south. A stop was conducted on an individual matching the description at the intersection of South Capitol Street and Independence Avenue SE. Further investigation confirmed that the Suspect entered the vehicle belonging to the Complainant without authorization. The Suspect was arrested and processed at HQ
