ASSAULT WITH A DANGERIOUS WEAPON + DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY- UNDER $1000- MISD 16:26:00 250217000430 R/O responded to the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW where a group of protesters had assembled. R/O observed the Complainant wiping blue paint off his face. The Complainant stated that the Suspect came up to him and spray painted his face, clothing and cell phone while standing in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The Suspect was located in the crowd by other Witnesses and taken into custody. During the course of the investigation the Suspect admitted to spray painting the Complainant. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS conducted interviews.
ASSAULT - SIMPLE 18:36:00 250216000426 R/O was flagged down by several citizens while patrolling the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. Members of that group stated they were victims of an assault that just occurred. Per the Complainants, multiple assailants approached them just outside of Union Station at 50 Massachusetts Avenue NE, began to verbally harass them, and then physically attacked them. As other individuals in the area attempted to intervene, the Suspects fled southbound towards Columbus Circle and Delaware Avenue NE. Attempts to locate the Suspects yielded negative results. CIS was advised of the offense and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 15:43:00 250216000423 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired rear tag as it travelled through the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A traffic stop was initiated at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver had a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT 22:48:00 250216000422 R/O-1 and R/O-2 responded to a radio call for a domestic dispute in the 300 Block of Second Street NE. Upon arriving on scene, both parties were separated by A/O-1 and A/O-2. R/O-1 approached S2 and noticed they had an disheveled appearance and several marks and bruises on their body. S2 stated they have become used to regularly being assaulted and abused by S1. R/O-2 observed more bruises on S2s body. With statements made by S2, S1 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. Upon arriving at processing, A/O-3 observed a contusion to the right side S1 forehead and S1 right hand was swollen. S1 stated that the injury to the head was caused by S2. S2 admitted to hitting S1 with a closed fist several times. Due to the additional information S2 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE 1ST OFF 1:40:00 250215000417 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration fail to maintain its lane of travel while driving through the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a moderate odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Furthermore, R/O noticed the driver's speech was low and raspy and their eyes were bloodshot and watery. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE – 1ST OFF 4:50:00 250215000419 R/O responded to a radio call for a traffic accident in the area of Second Street and Washington Avenue SW. Upon arrival, R/O observed a vehicle with minor to severe damage on all sides of the vehicle. The suspect exited the driver seat of the vehicle and approached R/O. The Suspect stated they were driving the vehicle and struck a curb but could not identify what curb was struck. The Suspect admitted to smoking marijuana and displayed slurred speech and poor balance while conversing with the R/O. A/O conducted SFSTs. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE – 1ST OFF 3:57:00 250215000418 R/O observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane of travel while driving through the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. After observing multiple additional traffic infractions, R/O conducted a traffic stop at Fifth and C Streets NE. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. Furthermore, R/O noticed the driver exhibited slurred speech and was slow to respond to questions. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters.
NO PERMIT 10:10:00 250214000403 R/O responded to a report of a vehicle parked in a no parking zone in the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O observed the driver return and begin to drive away. R/O immediately initiated a traffic stop at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver had a suspended Maryland operators permit with no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 21:45:00 250214000415 R/O observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane of travel while driving through the Unit Block Columbus Circle NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Second Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - NO VALID PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 15:01:00 250214000408 R/O observed a vehicle displaying what appeared to be fraudulent tags traveling in the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed they were expired and registered to a different vehicle. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a revoked Virginia operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
