The Complainant, a U.S. Marshals' Special Police Officer, stated that the Suspect threw a bottle of alcohol to the ground, charged at them, and struck their torso with both fists multiple times. The Suspect was arrested and transported for processing. While on scene, R/O observed an open container consistent with an alcoholic beverage adjacent to the Suspect. | |
POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE + DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF | 2:03:00 | 240428000000 | R/O observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in the Unit Block of Third Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Second and C Street SW. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect holding what appeared to be a bottle filled with an alcoholic beverage in hand. R/O could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. The Suspects eyes were watery and the Suspect was slow to respond. Due to suspicion of impairment, STSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect's eyes were watery and glassy. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of North Carolina Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect having a revoked District of Columbia license with no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW. Upon approach, R/O observed smoke and detected a strong odor consistent with burnt cannabis emanating from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Maryland and no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. An inventory search of the vehicle, revealed an open bottle of an alcoholic beverage, two rolled marijuana cigarettes and six black pouches containing cannabis. | |
FLEEING LAW ENFORCEMENT + NO VALID PERMIT | 9:33:00 | 240426000000 | R/O observed an individual on a moped at the intersection of First and Columbus Circle NE that appeared to match a BOLO. R/O attempted to stop the Suspect at the same location. The Suspect fled the scene ignoring R/O's verbal commands to stop. R/O located and stopped the Suspect in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing. | |
Destruction of property $1000 or more | 16:00:00 | 240424000982 | R/O while on patrol witnessed the Suspect in the 200 Block of C Street NE smashing a large rock onto a fence, damaging the fence. R/O made contact with the Suspect in the same location. While on scene the pastor of the church approached the R/O and wanted to press charges for the damage that occurred. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS | |
NO Valid Permit + COUNTERFEIT VEHICLE DOCS | 14:35:38 | 240424000979 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE with a temporary tag tapped to the back of the vehicle. R/O observed that the brake lights did not illuminate when the Suspect stopped the vehicle for a red light. R/O initiated a traffic stop at the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Further inspection of the vehicle's tag revealed the tag was fictitious. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (MISDEMEANOR) (SIMPLE ASSAULT) + FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING | 11:06:00 | 240423000956 | R/O responded to the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE for the report of an assault. Once on scene R/O was met by the Complainant Officer who reported that while attempting to stop the Suspect for a traffic violation he was struck with a swinging elbow and pushed to the ground. The Suspect then got onto a scooter and fled the scene. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS responded and will continue to investigate. |
