CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 11:12:00 240521001278 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RESISTING ARREST Officer Boslego (SD-3) observed multiple individuals standing, shouting and demonstrating loudly in room SD-419 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. The Suspects were given multiple warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity but failed to do so. As the Suspects were placed under arrest, they actively resisted the officers' efforts to restrain and escort them. Once the Suspects were in custody, they were transported to Headquarters for processing. (dw/bd)
SIMPLE ASSAULT 16:30:00 240521001286 Officers Carcamo (SD-3) and Marucci (SD-2) were posted at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, located at 110 Irving Street NW, as part of a hospital detail monitoring a Suspect who was in USCP custody as an arrestee due to previous criminal activity. During that assignment, Officer Marcucci witnessed the Suspect grab a nurse by their uniform and pull them onto a hospital bed. The Suspect was subsequently charged with the additional crime. (bd/jb)
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 14:51:00 240521001281 Officer Murgolo (SD-3) observed an individual being disruptive by screaming during a committee hearing in room SD-138 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. The Suspect was warned to cease and desist their demonstration activity but refused to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (bd/dw)
PENALTY FOR SIMPLE POSSESSION 09:31:00 240521001276 Officer Iaquinta (SD-2) was posted at the Independence Avenue Door of the James Madison Memorial Building as the Suspect entered and submitted to administrative screening. When the Suspect's bag passed through the X-ray machine, R/O observed an unknown object on the screen. Further investigation resulted in the discovery of a small, clear bag containing a green, leafy substance. Technician Schuster (CSS) responded and processed the scene. A field test of the green, leafy substance yielded inconclusive results. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (dw/bd)
UNLAWFUL DEMONSTRATING 16:11:00 240521001284 Officer Nepomuceno (FRU-3) observed multiple individuals actively demonstrating by preaching loudly and handing out pamphlets on the Rotunda Steps of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O advised the Suspects that the area was a restricted, non-demonstration zone. The Suspects were given multiple warnings to cease their demonstration activity but failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. (bd/dw)

The Suspects were warned to cease and desist their demonstration activity but refused to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (bd/dw)
SIMPLE ASSAULT 17:14:00 240520001270 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: CARRYING DANGEROUS WEAPON POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL Officer Carll (SOD-2) was in the 200 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE, and witnessed the Suspect hit the victim with a closed fist on the cheek. R/O detained the Suspect at the same location. Upon search incident to arrest, A/O Bradley (SOD-2) located in the Suspect's bag a steak knife, a bottle of alcohol, and a stick sharpened with a steak knife taped to the end. The Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed. S/A O'Neill was notified, and Crime Scene Technician Paines processed the scene.(lg)
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE 21:03:00 240520001273 Officer Conners (SD-3) observed an individual who carried a large traffic cone approach the exterior of the Constitution Avenue Door of the Hart Senate Office Building. The Suspect forcefully threw the traffic cone at the exterior door, and the traffic cone struck the glass. The Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed. (ms)
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE 13:14:00 240520001265 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FLEE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER RECKLESS DRIVING RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE Officer Wagner (SOD-2) observed a vehicle traveling southbound, going against the flow of traffic, on Third Street NE. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check on the vehicle's tag which showed the vehicle as stolen in an armed carjacking in Prince Georges County. R/O requested aviation support, and continued to track the vehicle which eventually took unprovoked flight. R/O initiated a pursuit with US Park Police Unit Eagle 1 overhead directing the pursuit. During the pursuit, the vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed, and passed through numerous stops signs, red light signals, and down one way streets. The vehicle came to a stop on Gales Street and Gales Place NE after it collided with a parked vehicle. R/O detained one of the passengers of the vehicle, whereas the driver and another passenger fled the scene. The passenger was later located, and taken into custody. Officers were unable to locate the driver of the vehicle. Both Suspects were arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed. Technician Schuster (CSS) responded, and processed the scene. S/A Larity and S/A Soltes (CIS) responded to the scene.(lg/jb)
TRAFFIC - PERMIT- NO VALID 20:20:00 240520001272 Officer Bergel (HD-3) observed a vehicle with an expired tag that travelled eastbound in the 100 Block of Independence SE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired permit status in the District of Columbia, and no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed. (ab)
