Disorderly Conduct Disrupting a Public Building (M) | DCC 22DC1321(C-1) 10:18:00 241000000000 R/O responded to a room in the Dirksen Senate Office Building for the report of an active demonstration. R/O arrived at the location to see the Suspect yelling and disrupting a hearing. The Suspect was given a warning to cease and desist their disruptive activities but failed to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HeQ for processing.
THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM 2:14:00 241000000000 R/O responded to 50 Massachusetts Avenue NE for a report of an individual with a gun. The Complainant stated they were approached by the Suspect who threatened to kill them while brandishing a handgun. A search of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD 4:04:00 241000000000 R/O observed the Suspect walk towards the South Entrance of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O gave verbal commands to present an employee ID card and the Suspect ignored the commands and continued to walk towards the South Door without presenting any identification. R/O then followed the Suspect and took the Suspect by the arm to stop him from entering the building while still giving verbal commands to stop. The Suspect then ran to the South Door and opened the outer doors and entered the South Door Vestibule. R/O then grabbed the Suspect's arms from behind to prevent him from opening the inner doors into the Capitol Building and Security Screening area. The Suspect then ran back out through the outer doors, down the ramp and through the bike rack Police Line at the Upper West Terrace South and continued to ignore R/O's commands to stop. The Suspect was stopped at Garfield Circle, arrested, and transported to HQ for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE 8:15:00 241000000000 R/O observed a vehicle with Pennsylvania temporary tags in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW, fail to use their turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Virginia or Maryland. A Vin check was conducted and the vehicle was registered out of the state of Maryland. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the Suspect. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located a firearm with a high capacity magazine in the glove compartment. CSS responded and processed the scene. Further examination revealed the firearm had ammunition loaded into its magazine. A WALES/NCIC check of the firearm revealed that it was not registered in the D. of C. CIS was notified and conducted an investigation, which revealed a full extraditable warrant out of Prince George County, Maryland.
NO PERMIT 10:37:00 241000000000 R/O observed a vehicle in the 200 Block of Second Street NE displaying an expired registration. R/O stopped the vehicle in the 100 Block of Second St. SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not have a valid permit through the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 22:58:00 241000000000 R/O responded to a welfare check in the Unit Block of E Street NE for a vehicle with an individual slumped over in the driver's seat. R/O observed the vehicle on the sidewalk with the driver's door open and the Suspect asleep. R/O detected a strong smell of alcohol emitting from the Suspect. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 22:26:00 241000000000 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags traveling northbound in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing.
FAILURE TO APPEAR (OAG) 14:01:00 241000000000 R/O responded to the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE for the report of a dispute between two Metrobus passengers. Upon arrival, R/O detained the Suspect. A WALES/NCIC check revealed an active misdemeanor bench warrant out of the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing.
NO PERMIT 0:40:00 241000000000 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration in the 400 Block of Louisiana Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE-1ST OFF + SECOND DEGREE CRUELTY TO CHILDREN GRAVE RISK SIMPLE ASSAULT SIMPLE ASSAULT 22:27:00 241000000000 R/O responded to the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE for the report of a large fight. A Suspect was seen fleeing the area eastbound before being detained close to the intersection of Third Street and Pennsylvania Avenue SE by A/O. The second Suspect was initially discovered on scene sitting in the driver's seat of a running vehicle, and two children were observed to be sitting in the back seat of the vehicle. On scene investigation revealed that a domestic altercation took place which resulted in minor injuries on two Suspects, without a single aggressor being identified. The first Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing. R/O observed that the second Suspect's eyes were bloodshot and a strong odor of alcohol was emitting from their breath. SFTS's were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing.
