| POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION PRESENT IN MOTOR VEHICLE CONTAINING FIREARM | 21:52:00 | 250310000679 | R/O and A/O responded to 300 H Street NE for a call of a person with a firearm inside of a vehicle. While on scene, R/O approached the vehicle in question and advised the Suspect to step out to which he complied. A/O asked the Suspect if there any weapons inside of the vehicle. The Suspect stated there was a .22 caliber rifle inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, a gun bag containing a shotgun was found. CSS responded and processed the scene. A pump shotgun, bolt action rifle, 100 rounds of 12 gauge and .22LR ammunition were found in the rear seat floorboard. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Upon waking up the Suspect the R/O observed a bag with a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana inside. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active bench warrant for failure to appear out of the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of H Street NE. Upon approach to the vehicle, R/O noticed a strong odor of marijuana and a feint odor of alcohol. When R/O asked the Suspect to exit to vehicle, the vehicle sped off traveling westbound from the Unit Block of H Street NE. CIS was notified for further investigation. | |

R/O observed the vehicle attempt to conduct a U-turn which resulted in colliding with another tree. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle at that location. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed several open containers consistent with alcoholic beverages. | |
