DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + NO PERMIT 1:07:00 240603001393 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. R/O approached the vehicle and a large plume of smoke that had the consistency with the odor of Marijuana billowed from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + NO PERMIT POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) 23:24:00 240604001402 R/O observed a vehicle with front end damage traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed an expired vehicle registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NE. Upon speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located a bottle with a white liquid that had an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF 0:53:00 240603001392 R/O observed a vehicle proceed through a solid red light, without stopping, in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of C Street SW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage that emanated from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
FAILURE TO APPEAR 10:01:00 240603001395 R/O conducted a welfare check on an individual in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the individual revealed an active bench warrant out of the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified.
THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM 14:59:00 240602001390 R/O responded for the report of threats to do bodily harm at the U.S. Botanic Gardens. The Complainant stated the Suspect made several threatening statements toward them. The Suspect then left the scene. CIS was notified, and will continue to investigate.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 4:18:00 240602001389 R/O responded for the report of a vehicle accident in the southbound lanes of the Interstate 395 and 695 split. R/O located two disabled vehicles in the roadway at the same location. While speaking with driver of the striking vehicle, R/O observed slurred speech, and detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage that emitted from their breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed. CSS responded, processed the scene, and recovered a Glock firearm with one round in the chamber, and a fully loaded 6 round magazine. CIS was notified. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry firearms in the District of Columbia.
NO PERMIT 20:56:00 240601001386 R/O observed a vehicle without registration stickers traveling southbound in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE 12:03:00 240601001385 R/O was flagged down for the report of a hit and run in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The Complainant stated they were struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, and provided a description to the R/O. A canvass of the immediate area yielded a vehicle that matched the description in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW. When the Suspect returned to their vehicle, the R/O made contact, and the Suspect admitted to the hit and run. CSS responded, and processed the scene. The Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER 0:04:00 240601001384 R/O observed a vehicle travelling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. The vehicle did not have a rear tag displayed. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, an open bottle of tequila was found in the rear passenger area.
NO PERMIT 16:45:00 240530001372 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags, and travelled eastbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC search of the Suspect's Venezuelan identification revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing.
