A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia and an extraditable warrant out of Rockville, MD. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, CSS found, and field tested 2.7 ounces of a green leafy plant material that tested positive for THC and several yellowish rocks that tested positive for Amphetamines. Additionally, a digital scale, packaging materials, and a large amount of cash was found in the vehicle. CIS was notified. | |

During the course of the search, R/O discovered a holster containing an OC spray device in the shape of a firearm around the person's ankle. CSS responded to process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| NO PERMIT | 0:31:00 | 250319000785 | R/O responded to a report of a person experiencing a medical emergency in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. Upon arriving on scene, R/O discovered an unresponsive individual sitting in the driver's seat of an idling vehicle. Emergency medical services were subsequently requested. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended Maryland operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. Once the Suspect received appropriate medical treatment, they were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| THEFT FIRST DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) | 7:30:00 | 250319000786 | R/O responded to the U.S. Botanic Garden Conservatory Building for a theft report. Once on the scene, R/O spoke with the Complainant who stated that a unknown subject stole a cactus from the display. The cactus was last seen on March 18, 2025 at approximately 1000 hours. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| FLEE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER + RESISTING ARREST ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS | 1:55:00 | 250318000767 | R/O observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn onto the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle was associated with a wanted person. R/O attempted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of C Street NE. The Suspect failed to yield and fled to the alley in the rear of the 500 Block of Constitution Avenue NE where they exited the vehicle. R/O exited his vehicle and gave multiple verbal commands to the Suspect. The Suspect ignored the repeated commands and proceeded past the R/O, who was attempting to grab the Suspect. The Suspect proceeded into a dwelling in the 500 Block of Constitution Avenue NE. The R/O met the Suspect at the door of the location. The Suspect closed the door on the R/Os foot causing a minor injury. The Suspect remained locked in the location and refused to come out. R/O cleared the scene and the Suspect remains at large. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspects vehicle revealed the VIN did not match the tag displayed on the vehicle. CIS will continue to investigate. | |

Once USCP Communications confirmed the warrant, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The person still refused to comply despite multiple warnings. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Per a subsequent WALES/NCIC inquiry, the individual was subject to a warrant held by the Dickson County Sheriffs Office in Tennessee. Once USCP Communications confirmed the warrant, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended South Carolina operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
