DEFACE PRIVATE/PUBLIC PROPERTY 14:15:00 250313000722 R/O responded to a report of an individual defacing public property at the intersection of First Street and Independence Avenue SE. Upon arriving on scene, R/O spoke with a Witness who observed an unknown person taping signs to multiple light poles in that area. Immediate attempts to locate the Suspect met with negative results. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 20:49:00 250312000715 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound, in the Unit Block of H Street NE, with an expired registration. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same area. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no status in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing .
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE 8:12:00 250312000702 R/O while working a door of the Capitol Building, performed an administrative search on the Suspect's backpack and located nine rounds of 9mm ammunition in the front pouch. While detained, the Suspect spontaneously uttered that he had a firearm in his vehicle. CSS responded to process the scene. The vehicle was located, searched, and a firearm was recovered. A query through the District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not have a valid license to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia, however the Suspect did provide a state of Maryland license to carry a firearm. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS responded and conducted a custodial interview.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 14:51:00 250312000710 R/O observed multiple individuals chanting loudly and blocking passage through a Senate Office Building Atrium. The Suspects were given three warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity but failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to 67 K Street for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE- 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 3:10:00 250312000701 R/O observed a vehicle with no running lights traveling northbound in the 300 Block of Second Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the vehicles registration to be expired of March 2024. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of Second Street NE. Upon approach, R/O was immediately met with a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, two open half-empty bottles of wine were located.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 10:14:00 250311000686 R/O conducted a welfare check on the Suspect in the 400 Block of Delaware Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active warrant out of Fulton County, Georgia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
PERMIT SUSPENDED 11:35:00 250311000692 R/O observed a vehicle fail to yield the right of way in the intersection of Second Street and Independence Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Second Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended operator's permit in the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to USCP Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + COUNTERFEIT TAGS 2:10:00 250311000682 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 900 Block of South Capitol Street SW with obstructed tags. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1300 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle was not registered. The check also revealed the Suspect had a suspended Maryland license with no status in Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY LESS THAN $1000 18:41:00 250310000675 R/O reported to a room in a House Office Building for a report of destruction of property. The Complainant stated individuals tore down two paper images and damaged the office doorframe. The Investigations Division will continue to investigate.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 7:48:00 250309000666 R/O observed a possible prohibited weapon in the X-ray machine at a door of a House Office Building. R/O conducted an administrative search of the Suspect's property and recovered a magazine containing five rounds of 9mm ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
