DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 23:45:00 240609001457 R/O observed a vehicle with a flat tire, and travelled southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. While speaking with the driver, R/O noticed the Suspect had glassy eyes, and a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanated from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to HQ, and processed.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE- 1ST OFF + RECKLESS DRIVING POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 10:16:00 240608001452 R/O responded to a vehicle that collided with a tree at Stanton Park. Multiple bottles of alcoholic beverages were discovered in the backseat of the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
NO PERMIT 21:15:00 240608001456 R/O observed a vehicle that displayed expired vehicle tags, and travelled southbound in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested, transported to HQ, and processed.
PERMIT SUSPENDED- OAS + ALLOW OPERATION W/ IMPROPER TAGS 18:22:00 240607001448 R/O observed a vehicle ignore a solid red traffic light and proceed without stopping at the intersection of First Street and Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed they had a suspended permit status in both the District of Columbia and Maryland. Furthermore, a WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's tags revealed they were registered to a different vehicle. The Suspect was arrested, & taken to HQ for processing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY 16:08:00 240607001444 R/O responded to a duress call in room in the Thomas Jefferson Building. Upon arrival, the Complainant advised the Suspect refused to follow the rules required to access that room. The Suspect was subsequently directed to leave the area multiple times but failed to comply. The Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + OPERATING WHILE IMPAIRED 11:40:00 240606001433 R/O responded to the intersection of First Street and Constitution Avenue NW for a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the course of the accident investigation, the driver of one of the vehicles involved appeared confused, disoriented, and sluggish. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FAILURE TO APPEAR 14:48:00 240605001421 R/O while on patrol observed an individual sitting by the reflecting pool in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Ave NW. R/O made contact at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD 10:43:00 240605001415 R/O responded to the intersection of Delaware and Constitution Avenues NE to assist on a traffic stop. Upon arrival, R/O observed the driver showing numerous signs of impairment consistent with being under the influence of a narcotic. Prior to being transported to the hospital by D.C. Fire the driver consented to a search. R/O and A/O discovered multiple bags containing pills. CSS responded to the scene and CID was notified. A field test of the pills tested positive for ecstasy, bath salts and cocaine. After being released from the hospital, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) 18:45:00 240604001410 R/O was flagged down for the report of a stolen bicycle at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and C Street NE. The Complainant stated they locked their bicycle up at the location on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at approximately 0845 hours. When the Complainant returned at approximately 1845 hours the bicycle was gone. A canvass of the immediate area yielded negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 8:28:00 240603001394 R/O observed a vehicle make an illegal left hand turn in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an expired Texas license with no valid status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
