DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE 1:46:00 240819002144 R/O observed a vehicle driving southbound in a northbound lane of the 500 Block of South Capitol Street SW. R/O immediately initiated a traffic stop at the same location. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle and observed the driver slurring their speech. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
PERMIT REVOKED OAR + DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS POSSESSION PROHIBITED WEAPON POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 16:44:00 240819002151 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. During the course of the stop, R/O observed the Suspect was nervous and provided vague, evasive responses when questioned. Suspecting the Suspect was impaired, R/O initiated SFSTs, which revealed multiple signs of impairment. Furthermore, a WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver's District of Columbia license was revoked. The Suspect was subsequently placed under arrest. During a search incident to arrest, a red capsule inside a small bag was discovered on the Suspect's person. CSS tested the capsule, which was presumptive positive for Mephedrone. During an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, a large knife with brass type knuckles affixed to the handle was discovered. The Suspect was subsequently transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE- MISD + POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 11:16:00 240818002142 R/O observed a vehicle parked in a space requiring a congressional parking permit in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's tags revealed they were registered to a different vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O observed it was occupied by two people. As R/O spoke with the occupants, they both consented to a search of the vehicle. During that search, RO observed, in clear view, a bulbous glass stem pipe consistent with the consumption of drugs in the front floorboard on the passenger side. Additionally, R/O discovered a white crystal rock substance secured in a clear baggie while searching a black backpack located on the rear passenger seat. CSS responded to test the substance, which was positive for methamphetamine. Further search of the vehicle revealed two (2) additional glass pipes, snorting straws, push rods, lighters, butane, and loose torn pieces of pot scrubbers. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NO PERMIT POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) 2:55:00 240817002136 R/O responded to a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Washington Avenue and C Street SW. Upon arrival, the driver approached the R/O with a very staggered walk and slurred speech. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the search incident to arrest, R/O found a small plastic bag containing 2 small pills, half of a pink star shaped pill in the front right coin pocket, and a dollar bill folded with a small amount of white powdery substance. Upon inventory of the vehicle, R/O retrieved an opened 375 ml bottle of an alcoholic beverage in the backseat. USCP Communications confirmed the Suspect had a suspended Maryland license, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. CSS responded and processed the scene.
NO PERMIT + Misuse of tags 16:45:00 240815002127 R/O observed a scooter with an obstructed tag in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was initiated in the 200 Block of D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag belonged to another scooter and the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 15:46:00 240814002112 R/O and A/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration traveling northbound in the 100 Block of Third Street NW. A Traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Third Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired license in the District of Columbia and no status in Maryland and Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE + RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS NO PERMIT 16:54:00 240813002105 R/O observed a vehicle that appeared to have a fraudulent tag traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check on the vehicle came back stolen and the tag came back as not on file. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a revoked license in Virginia and no status in Maryland or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified.
CARRYING DANGEROUS WEAPON (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) + POSS PROHIBITED WEAPON SIMPLE ASSAULT 2:49:00 240813002101 R/O responded to the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE for the report of an assault. R/O found the Suspect in the same location. The Complainant identified the Suspect in a show up as the person that hit him. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene and discovered a rock wrapped in a t-shirt as the weapon used.
NO PERMIT 17:48:00 240812002098 R/O observed a vehicle proceed through a solid red signal at the intersection of First Street and Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
PERMIT REVOKED-OAR + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 21:21:00 240812002100 R/O observed a vehicle with an obstructed rear tag traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's District of Columbia identification card revealed a revoked permit status in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, a cup was located with a liquid which was consistent with that of an alcoholic beverage.
