Disorderly Conduct 15:00:00 240410000000 R/O was assigned to a committee hearing in a House Office Building and observed the Suspects stand up and start shouting while the committee was in session. R/O escorted the Suspects out of the room. The Suspects were arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
Crowding, Obstructing, or Incommoding 15:00:00 240410000000 R/O observed the Suspect chanting loudly and disrupting a committee hearing in a House Office Building. The Suspect was given warnings to cease and desist the demonstration activities, but failed to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION + POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON - OTHER BENCH WARRANT MISD 9:44:00 240409000000 R/O observed an unattended book bag outside of the Independence Avenue SE entrance of a Library of Congress Madison. R/O conducted an inspection of the contents and discovered over 100 loose rounds of ammunition along with a hatchet. The Suspect subsequently claimed the bag. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an outstanding bench warrant held by the District of Columbia Superior Court. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registry Unit revealed the Suspect did not have a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to the scene, and recovered the evidence. CIS responded and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT-2ND OFFENSE + FAIL TO EXHIBIT LICENSE UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY 21:30:00 240409000000 R/O observed a motorized scooter that travelled through a red light at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenues NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Third Street NW. During the stop, R/O observed that the vehicle's ignition switch appeared to be tampered with, and allowed operation without a key. The Suspect was unable to provide a physical driver's license. A WALES/NCIC search of the Suspect, and the vehicle, revealed no valid permit on file in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, and a confirmed stolen status out of New York for the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded, and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING (M) 13:35:00 240409000000 R/O observed multiple Suspects disrupt normal building operations in the cafeteria of a Senate Office Building when they chanted, carried signs, and blocked pathways. The Suspects were given warnings to cease and desist demonstration activity, but refused to comply. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 22:00:00 240408000000 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired registration sticker stopped at a red light at the intersection of Louisiana and New Jersey Avenues NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed the individual had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 23:27:00 230409000000 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags affixed to the vehicle revealed they were associated with another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A subsequent WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's VIN revealed the vehicle's registration expired in 2017. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed the individual had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + COUNTERFEIT TAGS 16:41:00 240408000000 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the temporary Maryland tags affixed to the vehicle revealed there was no vehicle associated with them. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SE. Closer inspection of the temporary tags revealed characteristics that were not consistent with the official tags issued by the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed the individual had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD + DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF 2:22:00 240407000000 R/O observed a vehicle that travelled at a high rate of speed in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Fourth Street and Constitution Avenue NE. Upon approach, R/O immediately noticed the Suspect's glassy eyes, and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage that emitted from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted; due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed. When R/O conducted a search incident to arrest, R/O located a half-inch zip bag that contained a white powdery substance in the Suspect's right front coin pocket. CSS conducted a field test of the white powdery substance, which was a presumptive positive for Cocaine powder.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALOCOHOL OR DRUGS + SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING | DCC 50DC2201.04 POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER (POCA) | DCC 25DC1001 POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUSBSTANCE- MISD | DCC 48DC904.01D 21:01:00 240407000000 R/O observed a vehicle driving northbound in the area of South Capitol and I Streets SE at an extremely high rate of speed. Soon after, a radio transmission was broadcasted informing R/O that a vehicle had collided with the USCP security bollards located at the intersection of South Capitol and D Streets SE. R/O responded to the location and confirmed that the vehicle on scene was the same Suspect vehicle. R/O approached the Suspect and noticed a moderate odor of alcohol emanating from them. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect, was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, an open container of tequila was located inside a book bag. During a search of the Suspect, a plastic baggie with white powder consistent with cocaine was discovered against their money. CSS responded to process the scene.
