DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE 10:00:00 250506001454 R/O was approached by the Complainant who reported damage to their vehicle parked in a garage. Upon arrival, R/O observed what appeared to be fresh damage to the hood of the vehicle. The Complainant stated that the vehicle had no prior damage and has been parked at the location since May 5, 2025 at 1530 hours. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
CONSUMPTION OF MARIJUANA IN A PUBLIC SPACE PROHIBITED + RESISTING ARREST 10:29:00 250505001440 R/O observed an individual slumped over on a wall in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. While conducting a welfare check R/O observed a lit cigarette with a substance consistent with marijuana in the Suspects hand. The Suspect physically resisted being placed into handcuffs. The Suspect was successfully placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING OR INCOMMODING 12:30:00 250505001442 R/O observed multiple Suspects singing loudly and praying in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspects were given a warning to stop, but refused to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 2:00:00 250504001435 R/O observed a vehicle travelling in the 200 Block of North Carolina Avenue SE with an expired Maryland tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of North Carolina Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's name revealed no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF 2:36:00 250503001428 R/O observed a vehicle driving erratically and failing to maintain its lane in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of C Street NE. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FAILURE TO APPEAR 21:19:00 250502001524 R/O observed a vehicle traveling with suspended registration in the 100 Block of E Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active bench warrant issued by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 0:13:00 250502001410 R/O observed a vehicle driving in the 200 Block of Fourth Street SW with a paper dealer tag taped to the vehicle. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the driver revealed they had no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
BUYING, RECEIVING OR POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 17:03:00 250502001422 R/O observed a vehicle not displaying a rear tag while traveling on the wrong side of the road in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW. During the course of the investigation, R/O observed two different hard tags inside the vehicle, one from Maryland and one from Virginia. Additionally, neither of the tags were registered to the Suspect's vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Maryland tag was stolen out of Annapolis, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
UNREGISTERED AMMO-MISD 10:40:00 250501001384 R/O observed an individual enter the Capitol Visitor Center and placed their bag through the X-ray machine. The image on the X-ray screen displayed what appeared to be ammunition. An administrative search of the Suspect's bag revealed 9 rounds of ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS interviewed the Suspect.
DUI ALCOHOL OF DRUGS + TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - PROPERTY DAMAGE ONLY 18:50:00 250501001403 R/O responded to the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE for a report of a traffic accident. While speaking with the Complainant whose vehicle was struck by the Suspects vehicle, R/O observed the Suspect walk across the street. R/O stopped the Suspect. While speaking with the Suspect, A/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
