A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of C Street SW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O noticed visual impairment with the Suspect and a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the Suspect's vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PERSONAL INJURY | 18:15:00 | 250227000544 | R/O responded to the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE for the report of a traffic accident. The Complainant stated that while riding their bicycle, the Suspect merged into them, knocking them to the ground. The Suspect briefly got out of their vehicle but fled the scene before providing the Complainant with identifying information. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. | POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION + PRESENT IN MOTOR VEHICLE CONTAINING FIREARM POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE | 21:36:00 | 250227000549 | R/O was working at a security screening post at a Senate Office Building. The Suspect alarmed the walkthrough metal detector and R/O began secondary screening using a hand-held metal detector. The hand-held metal detector alarmed on the Suspect's left leg cargo pocket. When R/O attempted to search the pocket, the Suspect attempted to leave the screening area. The Suspect was informed by R/O that he could not leave until screening was completed, and a loaded firearm magazine was discovered after the Suspect removed it from his pocket. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. The Suspect's vehicle was discovered parked in a parking lot, which is located on U.S. Capitol Grounds. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Canine Unit, who are specially trained to detect firearms, responded to the lot to conduct a search of the exterior of the vehicle. The K9 alerted to the vehicle, and a search for firearms was then conducted by CSS, who discovered two magazines, additional loose 40 caliber ammunition, and a firearm within the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the firearm revealed that it was not registered in the District of Columbia. CIS responded to Headquarters, interviewed the Suspect, and confirmed via MPD Gun Registration Unit that the Suspect does not maintain a license to carry in the District of Columbia. | |

R/O conducted an administrative search of the Suspect's property and recovered the item, which was confirmed to be metal knuckles. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the registration was expired. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of E Street NW. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of cannabis and a faint odor of alcohol emanating from the Suspect's vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended operator's permit in the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, INCOMMODING | 12:22:00 | 250226000520 | R/O responded to a House Office Building for a report of an active demonstration. R/O observed multiple Suspects chanting, yelling and sitting on the floor in the Rotunda of the House Office Building. The Suspects were warned to cease and desist demonstration activities; and failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UNLAWFUL ENTRY + DISORDERLY, DISRUPTING GATHERING OR CONGREGATION RESISTING ARREST | 14:59:00 | 250225000510 | R/O observed an individual move bike racks and enter a press conference in the House Triangle area. The Suspect was stopped and ordered to leave but failed to comply and proceeded to yell and disrupt the press conference. While being placed under arrest, the Suspect actively resisted by pulling his arms away. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC- DUI + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 15:57:00 | 250225000511 | R/O was flagged down in the 300 Block of Third Street NE for a person overdosing in the driver seat of a vehicle. R/O knocked on the window causing the Suspect to wake up. R/O responded to conduct SFSTs which revealed several signs of impairment. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the inventory search of the vehicle, an opened bottle of alcohol was found in the passenger seat. |
