| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + NO PERMIT | DCC 50DC1401.01 | DCC 50DC1401.01(D) | 21:56:00 | 240219000373 | R/O observed a vehicle, with a loud and modified muffler, that travelled southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES check revealed an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. An NCIC check revealed the suspect did not have a valid driver's license in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia. R/O conducted an inventory search of the vehicle, and located a metallic pipe, in plain view, with an orange tinge green leafy substance, on the end of the center console. Due to a suspicion of impairment, SFST's were conducted. As a result of numerous signs of impairment, the suspect was also charged with DUI. The suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed. |
