During the course of the accident investigation, the driver of one of the vehicles involved appeared confused, disoriented, and sluggish. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| FAILURE TO APPEAR | 14:48:00 | 240605001421 | R/O while on patrol observed an individual sitting by the reflecting pool in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Ave NW. R/O made contact at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD | 10:43:00 | 240605001415 | R/O responded to the intersection of Delaware and Constitution Avenues NE to assist on a traffic stop. Upon arrival, R/O observed the driver showing numerous signs of impairment consistent with being under the influence of a narcotic. Prior to being transported to the hospital by D.C. Fire the driver consented to a search. R/O and A/O discovered multiple bags containing pills. CSS responded to the scene and CID was notified. A field test of the pills tested positive for ecstasy, bath salts and cocaine. After being released from the hospital, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Complainant stated they locked their bicycle up at the location on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at approximately 0845 hours. When the Complainant returned at approximately 1845 hours the bicycle was gone. A canvass of the immediate area yielded negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an expired Texas license with no valid status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + NO PERMIT POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) | 23:24:00 | 240604001402 | R/O observed a vehicle with front end damage traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed an expired vehicle registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NE. Upon speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located a bottle with a white liquid that had an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of C Street SW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage that emanated from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed. | |

The Complainant stated the Suspect made several threatening statements toward them. The Suspect then left the scene. CIS was notified, and will continue to investigate. |
