DEFACING GOVERMENT PROPERTY 19:56:00 231116002668 R/O responded to the 200 Block of C Street SE for a report of defacing of government property. Upon arrival, R/O observed a sign located outside of the building vandalized by what appeared to be a marker. A search of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (MISDEMEANOR) + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: ASSAULT-SIMPLE-MISDEMEANOR 19:40:00 231115002655 R/O responded to the Democratic National Headquarters for the report of a large group of demonstrators that was blocking entrances and trying to gain entry into the building. While on scene, R/O witnessed the Suspect slam and strike an officer in the face, causing them to fall to the ground. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) | DCC 22DC3211, 3212B 16:37:00 231114002641 R/O responded to a Senate Office Building for the report of a theft. Upon arrival, the Complainant reported that two headphones were left in a room at approximately 1300 hours, and when he returned they were gone. A canvass for the missing items was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM - MISD 17:55:00 231114002647 R/O reported the Suspect's vehicle, while traveling eastbound on D Street SE, struck the drivers side of the Complainants vehicle. The Suspect did not stop and drove away. The Complainant followed for several blocks. The Suspect exited their vehicle and made threatening statements towards the Complainant. The Complainant lost sight of the suspect near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Goodhope Road SE. A canvas for the Suspect was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE (ALL OTHER LARCENY) | DCC 22DC3211, 3212B 18:56:00 2311130002636 R/O responded to a Library of Congress Building for the report of a theft. The Complainant reported locking up their bicycle on the southwest side of the building at approximately 0800 hours and upon returning at 1800 hours discovered the bicycle missing. An immediate canvas of the area yielded negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT | DCC 50DC1401.01 | DCC 50DC1401.01(D) + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS | DCMR 18DCMR1101.1 19:36:00 231112002624 R/O observed a vehicle conduct an abrupt stop at a red light in the 500 Block of South Capitol Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's tag showed that it belonged to a different vehicle with a suspended registration out of Maryland. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | DCC 50DC2206.11 + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: NO PERMIT | DCC 50DC1401.01 | DCC 50DC1401.01(D) 21:39:00 231112002625 R/O observed a vehicle operating with no headlights in the 500 Block of South Capitol Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. During the stop, the Suspect admitted to having consumed alcoholic drinks earlier in the evening. R/O conducted SFSTs, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS/PRIOR FELONY) 2015 | DCC 22DC4504(A)(2)-Y-3 + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FELON IN POSSESSION | DCC 22DC4503A2 POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION | DCC 7DC2506.01 | USC 07DUSC02506. 01:58:00 231112002626 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired sticker on a Maryland license plate travelling westbound in the 100 Block of D Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NE. Upon approach, R/O observed the Passenger open their door and flee the scene. The Suspect fled on foot towards the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE, ignoring R/O's verbal commands to stop. The Suspect continued fleeing by jumping a fence at 400 First Street NE and running through Lot 16. A/O-1 and A/O-2 apprehended the Suspect in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. While conducting a canvass of the Suspect's path, R/O recovered a firearm, containing one round in the chamber and a magazine with twelve rounds of ammunition, near the fence line of Lot 16. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified, responded to Headquarters to interview the Suspect, and confirmed the Suspect was a convicted felon and did not have a permit to carry a firearm in the District of Columbia.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | DCC 50DC2206.11 + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: CARRYING A LICENSED PISTOL WHILE IMPAIRED CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE (OUTSIDE HOME OR PLACE OF BUSINESS) 2015 | DCC 22DC4504(A)-Y-3 | DCC 22DC4504-Y-3 07:03:10 231111002619 R/O observed a vehicle that displayed an expired registration, and travelled southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. While speaking with the driver, R/O noticed a faint odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from inside the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted on Suspect-1, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. During the arrest, S-1 stated there was a firearm in the vehicle. A/O recovered a firearm on Suspect-2s person. Further investigation revealed the firearm was registered to S-1. A/O-1 and A/O-2 gave multiple commands to Suspect-3 to exit the vehicle, but they did not comply. A/O-2 attempted to arrest S-3, but they resisted by clenching their fists while holding both arms in front of their body. A/O-1 assisted and A/O-2 was able to successfully arrest S-3. A/O-1 observed and removed an empty bottle of alcoholic beverage, and a bag from S-3s person during arrest. CSS responded and processed the scene. CSS recovered a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield handgun magazine, that contained 8 rounds of 9mm ammunition from S-3s bag. CSS also recovered two 13-round magazines in the trunk of the vehicle. All three Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT | DCC 50DC1401.01 | DCC 50DC1401.01(D) + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FAIL TO EXHIBIT PERMIT * | DCC 50DC1401.01 LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS | DCMR 18DCMR1101.1 13:17:00 231111002614 R/O observed a vehicle with a covered rear tag traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag showed it registered to another vehicle and a VIN check showed the vehicle being operated had a suspended registration out of Georgia. During the stop, the Suspect was unable to provide R/O with a physical driver's license. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit through the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
