SIMPLE ASSAULT + THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM-MISD TRAFFIC-DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 18:35:00 240802002028 R/O observed two individuals engaged in a physical altercation in the 200 Block of Second Street SW. A/Os arrived on scene and separated both parties. S2 stated that S1 became upset, started yelling loudly and hit S2 in the head and neck area by force, with a closed fist. S2 had a mark on the right cheek that was consistent with being struck. Due to the visible markings on S2 face, S1 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While being handcuffed S2 made threatening statements to do physical harm to S1 at home. A/O spoke with S1 who stated that they had a drink earlier in the day. A/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from S1's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, S1 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Crime Scene responded to processing to photograph the injuries.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING- PROPERTY DAMAGE 14:35:00 240802002027 R/O responded to a vehicle crash in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Complainant stated he walked to his vehicle and the driver sideview mirror was broken and hanging by electrical wires. There was also a scratch on the rear driver side door. CSS processed the scene. Investigator following up.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 10:14:00 240801002013 R/O was on routine patrol and observed the Suspect smoking a marijuana cigarette in the Senate Park at 400 Delaware Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed an active, extraditable warrant out of Montgomery County Police Department which was confirmed by USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and processed.
FAILURE TO APPEAR 17:34:00 240801002017 R/O observed a Suspect known to have an active warrant in the Unit block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. The active warrant was issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications confirmed the active warrant. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 20:13:00 240724002010 R/O observed a vehicle displaying no registration traveling northbound in the Unit Block of Third Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of First Street and Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed the individual had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DISORDELY CONDUCT-DISRUPTING A PUBLIC BUILDING 16:15:00 240731002005 R/O observed the Suspect yelling and causing a disturbance inside a House Office Building. The Suspect was given a warning to cease and desist his disruptive activities but failed to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 20:02:00 240724002009 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 700 Block of Second Street NW abruptly changing lanes . A WALES/NCIC check revealed the registration belonged to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 19:31:00 240724002007 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW with a blue hang tag obstructing the front windshield. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the registration belonged to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in 500 Block of C Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no status in Maryland, the District of Columbia, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 14:20:00 240730001992 R/O observed the Suspects sitting on the floor, chanting, singing loudly, and displaying banners and signs in the Atrium of a Senate Office Building. The Suspects were given three warnings to cease and desist the demonstration activity, but refused to do so. The Suspects were arrested and transported to 67 K Street for processing.
TRAFFIC - NO PERMIT 20:42:00 240730001999 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 200 Block of Second Street SE displaying an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of C Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Virginia, with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to MPD First District Headquarters for processing.
