Technician Schuster (CSS) responded and processed the scene. Technician Day (HMRT) conducted a field test of the white powdery substance, which tested positive for Cocaine. Special Agent Larity (CIS) responded and will continue to investigate. (dw) | |
| LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE | 17:13:00 | 240515001210 | Officer Carll (SOD-3) while on patrol responded to the Unit Block of E Street NE for the report of a hit and run. Upon arrival, the Complainant stated that their vehicle was parked in the Lot around 0615 hours next to a blue vehicle and when they returned at 1710 hours there was damage to the front passenger bumper area. Technician Schuster (CSS) responded and processed the scene. R/O conducted a canvas for camera footage and located the vehicle and the Suspect exit the parking lot. They were last seen heading eastbound on E Street NE. Special Agent O'Neill (CIS) was notified and will continue to investigate. (dw) | |

Upon arrival R/O recognized the Suspect as having an active warrant. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the Suspect had an active warrant. | THEFT SECOND DEGREE | 19:00:00 | 240514001184 | Officer Bravo (SD- 2) took a report for a stolen bicycle. The Complainant stated, that on Monday, May 13, 2024 they locked their bicycle to a bike rack located at First and C Streets NE between the hours of 1700 and 2130. When the Complainant returned at approximately 2130 hours, the bicycle was missing and no longer at the bike rack. S/A O'Neill (CIS) was notified and will continue to investigate. (ea/mf) | |

The Complainant stated that three pairs of shoes had been stolen from the area. A canvass of the immediate area yielded negative results. | UNLAWFUL ENTRY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE | 21:09:00 | 240512001171 | Officer Fix (FRU-3) was approached by an individual, who wanted to report a suspected vehicle break in. The Complainant stated that they last used their vehicle on/about Tuesday, April 30, 2024 when it was parked in Lot 1 at approximately 1730 hours. When the Complainant returned to the vehicle on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at approximately 2030 hours, the doors were closed and papers from the glovebox were spread across the front seat. Upon inspection of the vehicle, R/O did not find any visible damage or signs of tampering. (ms) | |
| UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE | 23:41:00 | 240511001168 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, RECKLESS DRIVING LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING NO PERMIT Officer Cruz (SOD-2) monitored a lookout for a carjacked vehicle, and then observed the vehicle in the Unit Block of H Street NW. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC inquiry which confirmed the stolen status. R/O and Assisting Officer Dias (SOD-2) attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Fifth and K Streets NW. The vehicle fled, and then collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Fifth and M Street NW. The Suspect exited the vehicle, and fled on foot. R/O gave chase, and apprehended the Suspect in the 1300 Block of Fifth Street NW. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a suspended operators permit in Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed. (eb) | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended Virginia permit, with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland.
