A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of the District of Columbia, with no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

| NO PERMIT + ALLOW OPERATION WITH IMPROPER TAGS | 1:57:00 | 240709001767 | R/O observed a vehicle without visible tags traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. Upon approach, R/O observed tags in the vehicle's rear window. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tags were not registered to the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed the individual had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Upon arrival, R/O was met by the Complainant who stated the Congressional Sign-in Book was missing. The book was described as a black hard cover booklet with a gold seal. The last confirmed sighting was on June 18, 2024 at approximately 1000 hours. A canvas of the area was met with negative results. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE | 23:02:00 | 240708001764 | R/O observed a vehicle displaying a tag written with a blue marker traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O smelled a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active extraditable warrant out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which was then confirmed by USCP Communications. The Complainant stated that some of the cacti had been destroyed in the desert area. All attempts to locate the Suspect were met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. | THEFT II | 7:35:00 | 240707001745 | R/O responded to the West Front of the U.S. Capitol Building for a report of a theft. Upon arrival, the Complainant stated the concert production tent was shut down at 1900 hours on Saturday, July 6, 2024. When the Complainant returned on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 0735 hours the tent was open. The Complainant noticed a black fan which is battery operated with a small light attached was missing. A search of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD + CONTEMPT OF COURT | 2:44:00 | 240706001741 | R/O was approached by a Suspect at the Senate Door of the U.S. Capitol Building that had an active stay away order/barring notice issued by Criminal Investigations Section (CIS). R/O recognized the Suspect from the BOLO. The suspect stated that they were aware of the stay away order and were not supposed to be on Capitol grounds. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
