R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an extraditable warrant out of Arlington County, Virginia. During the course of the stop, R/O observed a moderate smell of alcohol emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (AGGRAVATED ASSAULT). ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNLAWFUL ENTRY RESISTING ARREST | 13:51:00 | 2.31207E+11 | R/O observed the Suspect in an unauthorized area of the Library of Congress Little Scholars Child Development Center. Upon questioning, R/O learned the Suspect was there to meet with their mother, who is an employee at the facility. R/O advised the Suspect to leave the area and wait for their mother on the street level. The Suspect then attempted to push their way past R/O causing them both to fall to the ground. R/O was able to detain the Suspect on the ground until additional units arrived. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A was notified. | |

R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check, which confirmed the tag was expired and revealed it was reported as stolen from another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed the individual had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. The Suspect climbed out of the sunroof and refused to comply with R/O's verbal commands. Once the Suspect was removed from the roof of the vehicle, A/O-1 was called for SFSTs but they were not conducted due to safety reasons. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-2 responded and processed the scene. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a fully loaded magazine and extra ammunition rounds were found. S/A was notified. | |

Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag was expired and the Suspect did not have a valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES | 19:18:00 | 2.31205E+11 | R/O responded to House Parking for an individual who was in possession of a firearm. Once on scene, the Suspect advised that they had a firearm in their bag. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the Suspect's wallet did not reveal a District of Columbia Concealed Carry Permit, but did reveal an Ohio State Concealed Firearm Permit, and an expired Maryland Handgun Permit. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded and processed the scene, and recovered a .40 caliber pistol inside the Suspect's bag. S/A conducted an interview of the Suspect who revealed that they had a concealed carry permit through the District of Columbia. The Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registration Unit was notified, confirmed the Suspect had a valid District of Columbia Concealed Carry Permit, and that the firearm was registered. | |

Upon arrival, the Complainant reported that their iPhone 13 was left in the supply closet within the office approximately three to four weeks ago. When the Complainant returned on December 5, 2023, the phone was missing. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
