NO PERMIT 20:11:00 241216003211 R/O observed a vehicle with illegible registration on 600 North Capitol Street. A traffic stop was initiated on 400 New Jersey Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a suspended driving status in Maryland and no status for the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: RECKLESS DRIVING 18:21:00 241216003208 R/O observed a vehicle driving erratically in the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW. R/O observed the vehicle nearly strike another vehicle while attempting to make a turn from the wrong lane. A traffic stop was conducting in the 800 Block of South Capitol Street. During the stop, the Suspect exited the vehicle to approach R/O. The Suspect ignored R/O's commands and returned to the vehicle. The vehicle fled southbound on South Capitol Street while committing multiple traffic violations. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
FAILURE TO APPEAR (USAO) X2 + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL RESISTING ARREST 15:59:00 241216003207 R/O responded 300 Massachusetts Avenue NE for a report of a disorderly individual. R/O conducted a stop of the Suspect in the 600 Block of First Street NE. The Suspect was carrying an open container of an alcoholic beverage. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had two bench warrants out of the District of Columbia. While attempting to place the Suspect under arrest, the Suspect became uncooperative and attempted to spit and strike R/O. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS NO PERMIT 16:10:00 241214003199 R/O and A/O observed a vehicle facing north in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag was registered to a different vehicle. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's permit was suspended in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. Upon approaching the passenger window, R/O detected a strong odor consistent with cannabis emanating from inside the vehicle. After further investigation, the driver admitted to R/O that they just finished smoking. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
PERMIT - OPERATING AFTER SUSPENSION 20:24:00 241213003193 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NW with an expired tag. R/O conducted at traffic stop at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended license in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 17:22:00 241213003192 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE with an expired tag. R/O conducted traffic at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended license in Maryland with no status in the District Of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE 0:42:00 241213003183 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on H Street NE at a high rate of speed and making unsafe lane changes. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of H Street NE. R/O smelled the odor of an alcohol beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS 21:02:00 241213003194 R/O observed a vehicle travelling eastbound in the Unit Block of E Street SE with expired tags. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed that the tags did not belong to the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed that the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE 7:39:00 241213003184 R/O was flagged down in the 200 Block of D Street SE for a report of a traffic accident. The Complainant stated the Suspects vehicle struck their vehicle at that location and then drove away. A lookout was broadcast via USCP Communications and a subsequent canvass was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES + CARRYING A LICENSED PISTOL IN A PROHIBITED LOCATION 7:29:00 241212003166 R/O observed the Suspect enter the screening area and place their bag on the X-ray machine at the West Ground Door of a Library of Congress building. During the process, R/O was alerted to a firearm on their screen. Upon further inspection of the Suspect's bag, R/O located a 9mm handgun loaded with one round in the chamber and 10 rounds in the magazine. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS responded and interviewed the Suspect. CSS responded and processed the scene.
