A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of G Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's Maryland permit was suspended with no valid status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL-VEHICLE | 02:11:00 | 231008002330 | R/O observed a vehicle travelling eastbound in the Unit block of Massachusetts Avenue NW go through a solid red light. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong smell of alcohol emanating from the vehicle, and in plain sight an open container of alcohol on the front driver side floor. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and C Street NW. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a suspended operators permit in South Carolina, with no status in the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland. The vehicle continued traveling northbound passing through additional red signal lights. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW. Upon approach, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. SFST's were conducted and due to the numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Complainant stated they were pulling out of a parking spot when the Suspects vehicle struck their vehicle in the left rear and then fled northbound on New Jersey Avenue NW. A search of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. |
