FLEEING FROM POLICE OFFICER 11:26:00 250124000218 CIS responded to USCP Headquarters for an individual with an active warrant. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force stopped the individual in the 600 Block of Mississippi Avenue SE and transported the individual to USCP Headquarters. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active arrest warrant issued by the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, confirmed through USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and processed.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 3RD OR SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE 1:30:00 250124000217 R/Os were dispatched to check on the welfare of an individual within a vehicle parked in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Upon approaching the vehicle, the occupant was observed sleeping in the driver's seat while the vehicle was idling. Once the occupant awoke and began conversing, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the individual's breath. SFSTs were subsequently conducted. Due to various signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE 20:03:00 250123000216 R/O observed a vehicle drive through a red traffic signal at the intersection of South Capitol Street and Washington Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Second Street SW. During the course of the stop, R/O noticed the driver appeared to be in a stupor and exhibited low, slow, and raspy speech. SFSTs were subsequently conducted. Due to various signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 11:47:00 250123000208 R/O observed multiple individuals disrupting normal building operations by chanting loudly and obstructing pedestrian access to the Lower Independence Avenue Door of the Rayburn House Office Building. The individuals were given warnings to cease and desist their activity, but they refused to stop. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE-1ST OFFENSE 3:22:00 250123000205 R/O observed a vehicle operating with no lights running at the intersection of Third and Independence Avenue SW. The vehicle sat through a green light signal and then proceeded to stop in the middle of the intersection. A traffic stop was initiated at First and Independence Avenue SW. During the stop, R/O observed the Suspect's speech was slurred when responding to questions. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 17:23:00 250122000203 R/O observed a vehicle with a expired tag in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the tag was expired and a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check on the driver returned with a suspended license in Virginia with no status in Maryland or the District Of Columbia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT ONE - STOLEN AUTO 20:30:00 250121000193 R/O was flagged down by the Complainant in the 1200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE for a report of a stolen vehicle. The Complainant stated they parked their vehicle at 1248 Pennsylvania Avenue SE and went inside the establishment located at that address. Upon the Complainant's return moments later, the vehicle was missing. A canvass of the area met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
CARRY PISTOL W/O LIC - FELONY + RESISTING ARREST POSS OF UNREG AMMUNITION, POSS OF UNREG FIREARM, UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES 14:42:00 250121000186 R/O received a lookout from USCP Communications for an armed suicidal individual driving a gray vehicle bearing Massachusetts tags. R/O observed an unoccupied vehicle matching the description on the 100 Block of East Capitol Street. A MPD Firearm Detection K9 sweep resulted in a positive hit, indicating firearm parts were present in the vehicle. A subject matching the lookout was observed walking back to the vehicle and stopped. The Suspect then attempted to put his hands in his pockets and was restrained by multiple officers on scene. The Suspect resisted officers by locking his arms to his sides and was then placed in handcuffs. A firearm was recovered in a holster in the Suspect's front waistline with a magazine containing eight (8) rounds of 9mm ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS contacted the District of Columbia Gun Registration Unit, which revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a firearm, or ammunition, in the District of Columbia.
POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON 8:00:00 250120000169 R/O observed the Suspect enter the Library of Congress Jefferson Building carriage entrance and place a bag through the x-ray machine. During the screening process, a knife resembling a sword appeared visible on the screen. CSS responded to process the scene and recovered the weapon from the bag. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE 16:11:00 250119000167 R/O responded to the 300 Block of First Street SE for the report of a traffic accident. The Complainant stated that, while in the 1000 Block of South Capitol Street SW, a vehicle struck their vehicle and fled the scene. CSS responded to the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
