When the vehicle approached a red light at the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and I Street SE, R/O observed the vehicle as it stopped beyond the stop line, and entirely within the crosswalk. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of I Street SE. SFSTs were conducted, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing. | |

R/O then observed the vehicle as it proceeded through a red signal at the intersection of Third and E Streets NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of E Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's Maryland permit revealed it was suspended, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. R/O located the vehicle in the 200 Block of Second Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed that the vehicle was stolen out of Lake Charles, Louisiana. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of Bladensburg Road NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a fully extraditable warrant issued through the Miami Dade Police Department and no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS notified. Investigation continuing. | |

Upon arrival, the Complainant reported they left their laptop in their office on February 8, 2024. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O noticed that an odor consistent with Phencyclidine (PCP) was emanating from their breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing. | |
