| POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION | 7:09:00 | 250328000913 | R/O observed an individual enter the Sub Basement Door of the Library of Congress Madison Building and placed their book bag through the x-ray machine. During the screening process, a loaded magazine was detected. Further investigation revealed the magazine was loaded with ten (10) rounds of ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS also responded to the scene. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department revealed the Suspect did not possess a permit to carry ammunition in the District of Columbia. | |

A traffic stop was conducted at First Street and Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver did not possess a valid operator permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED WEAPON - OTHER (x2) | 23:54:00 | 250328000912 | R/O observed an individual that appeared to be asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 100 Block of Third Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. While attempting to wake the driver, R/O observed what appeared to be a revolver tucked in the area of the center console. R/O secured the driver and requested CSS process the scene. A search of the vehicle revealed two loaded BB guns charged with CO2 cartridges along with 13 additional CO2 cartridges and a bottle of approximately 6000 BB pellets. When questioned about the weapons, the driver stated they were intended for self-defense. Suspect arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
