| LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE | 12:03:00 | 240601001385 | R/O was flagged down for the report of a hit and run in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The Complainant stated they were struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, and provided a description to the R/O. A canvass of the immediate area yielded a vehicle that matched the description in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW. When the Suspect returned to their vehicle, the R/O made contact, and the Suspect admitted to the hit and run. CSS responded, and processed the scene. The Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER | 0:04:00 | 240601001384 | R/O observed a vehicle travelling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. The vehicle did not have a rear tag displayed. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, an open bottle of tequila was found in the rear passenger area. | |

A WALES/NCIC search of the Suspect's Venezuelan identification revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's permit revealed a suspended status through Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest. While conducting a search incident to the arrest of the Suspect, a large plastic bag that contained a white powdery substance was recovered from the Suspects pocket, and tested positive for cocaine. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters, and processed. An inventory search of the Suspects vehicle revealed several open bottles of alcoholic beverages. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

R/O advised the Suspect to go back beyond the barriers but the Suspect refused. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE FLEEING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER | 17:31:00 | 240528001358 | R/O received a hit on a stolen vehicle that travelled westbound on Benning Road NE. R/O located the vehicle which travelled westbound in the 300 Block of H Street NE. R/O confirmed through USCP Communications the vehicle's stolen status. R/O and A/O attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however the vehicle failed to yield, and fled westbound on K Street NE. R/O and A/O conducted a canvass of the area. R/O observed the vehicle stopped in the intersection of Third and M Streets NE. Two Suspects exited the vehicle, and fled on foot. A canvass was conducted with negative results. CSS responded and processed the vehicle. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| THEFT 1 (FROM MOTOR VEHICLE) | 8:10:00 | 240528001350 | R/O was approached by the Complainant who stated that property was stolen out of his government vehicle parked on the Northwest Drive of the U.S. Capitol Building. Further investigation revealed the Suspect was last seen traveling northbound on New Jersey Avenue NW. A canvass of the area lead to negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. |
