The Suspects were warned to cease and desist their demonstration activity but they refused to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
UUV - FELONY. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY OVER $1000 | 15:15:00 | 231031002533 | R/O was alerted to an LPR hit for a stolen vehicle at Third Street and Independence Avenue SW. A/O-1 located the vehicle in the Unit Block of I Street SW and the Suspect standing nearby. The Suspect admitted driving the vehicle, and claimed ownership to the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Alexandria, VA. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-3 and A/O-4 responded, and processed the scene. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A WALES/NCIC check revealed an extraditable felony warrant issued through the Alexandria Police Department, and confirmed the vehicle as stolen. The Suspect also had a suspended license out of Virginia with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. Upon arrival, the Complainant stated that they left their electric scooter attached to a bike rack at approximately 0540 hours on October 30, 2023. When they returned at approximately 1425 hours on the same date, the scooter was missing. Criminal Investigations Section (CIS) was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

Upon arrival, R/O observed a light post and other items in the surrounding area with what appeared to be graffiti on them. A search of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. A/ responded and processed the scene. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD | 04:26:00 | 231029002517 | R/O observed a vehicle make multiple traffic infractions at the intersection of Second Street and Constitution Avenue NE before the vehicle drove onto the sidewalk on Second Street NE, struck a tree, and the stone wall . R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Second Street NE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect's speech was slurred, eyes glassy, and a smell of an alcoholic beverage emanated from the Suspect's breathe. A/O-1 conducted SFSTs; due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest, and was transported to Headquarters to be processed. A/O-2 responded and processed the scene. During an administrative search of the Suspect's vehicle, a bottle containing liquid with a smell consistent with alcohol was discovered on the front passenger floor board. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECKLESS DRIVING LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PERSONAL INJURY RESISTING ARREST | 15:55:00 | 231028002516 | R/O observed a vehicle that matched the description of a License Plate Reader hit wanted in connection to an armed carjacking in PG County, Maryland, travelling westbound in the 600 Block of H Street, NE. A WALES/NCIC check by USCP Communication confirmed that the vehicle was wanted. A traffic stop was attempted in the 700 Block of 7th street, NE but the Suspect fled, driving erratically, hitting multiple vehicles at the intersection of 8th and F Streets, NE, causing property damage and injuries. The Suspect's vehicle came to a stop; the Suspect refused to follow commands, exited the vehicle, and fled on foot. The Suspect continued to run, but was apprehended by R/O and A/O in the 800 Block of F Street, NE. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A was notified. |
