A stop was immediately initiated at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the individual was subject to multiple warrants issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, which were subsequently confirmed by Communications. After the R/O attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle continued to drive slowly before coming to a stop in the middle of the crosswalk in the intersection of D and First Streets NW. During the course of the investigation, R/O detected a faint odor of alcohol emitting from inside the vehicle. SFTS were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of E Street NW. While speaking to the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of cannabis emitting from the vehicle and observed the driver's eyes were bloodshot. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. During the search incident to arrest, the Suspect resisted by refusing to comply with several verbal commands and by pulling their wrists upwards while being handcuffed. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory of the Suspect's vehicle, A/O located an open container that had an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage. | |

During an inventory of the Suspect's vehicle, R/O located an open container on the driver floorboard that had an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage. |
