DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE, POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE 2:16:00 251224003809 R/O observed a vehicle at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW with the driver asleep at the wheel. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory of the Suspect's vehicle, a bottle of an alcoholic beverage approximately 1/8th full was discovered inside a bag in the rear seat.
POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 18:38:00 251224003812 R/O observed a vehicle turn left onto 600 North Capitol Street with a No Left Turn sign clearly posted. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A/O-1 observed an individual in the passenger seat without a seatbelt. The Suspect gave A/O-1 falsified information and became uncooperative. A/O-2 detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects water bottle. R/O smelled the liquid which had an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing
NO PERMIT 18:36:00 251223003807 R/O observed a vehicle travel through a solid red light at the intersection of South Capitol and M Streets SE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of M Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver through USCP Communications revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE 23:34:00 251224003808 R/O was assisting the Metropolitan Police Department with a traffic cut on I-395 Southbound at the I-695 Eastbound split when a vehicle approached at a high rate of speed and ignored all commands to stop. R/O stopped the vehicle at his traffic cut location. The driver ignored the R/O's verbal commands to put the vehicle in park and fled at a high rate of speed towards Virginia. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
BOMB THREAT 9:32:00 251223003802 R/O responded to a call for service at the Library of Congress Jefferson Building. Staff reported a threatening message was left in the chat box. A search of the interior and exterior were conducted and yielded negative results. The Threat Assessment Section will continue to investigate.
PERMIT REVOKED - OAR 0:20:00 251222003794 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of M Street SE displaying expired temporary registration stickers. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of M Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a revoked permit status in the District of Columbia and no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE, POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD 23:03:00 251222003793 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW with no running headlights or taillights. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of Second Street NW. While speaking to the driver, R/O could detect a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search incident to the arrest, R/O located a clear plastic bag containing a while powdery substance in the Suspects pants pocket. A/O responded to process the scene. The white powdery substance presumptively tested positive for cocaine.
NO VALID PERMIT 0:44:00 251221003785 R/O observed a vehicle traveling with an expired registration and no headlights activated in the 600 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of First Street NW. A WALES/ NCIC check through USCP Communications revealed the driver had a suspended license out of Maryland with no driving status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE, POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL NO PERMIT RESISTSING ARREST 0:03:00 251221003784 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red light at a high rate of speed in the intersection of Jefferson and Third Streets SW. When the R/O attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW, the vehicle was slow to respond and continued driving. R/O subsequently stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Second Street SW. During the course of the investigation, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. While being placed in handcuffs, the Suspect raised their arms and pulled away from the R/O and A/O. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located two containers on the passenger floorboard that had an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. During processing, the Suspect refused to be searched and continued to pull away from the R/O.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE 19:13:00 251220003782 R/O observed a vehicle stopped in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW. R/O activated their lights, sirens, and megaphone to get the vehicle to move along but all directions were ignored. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. While speaking with the driver, R/O observed slurred speech and detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
