A WALES inquiry through USCP Communications confirmed the expired status. A WALES inquiry of the driver revealed a suspended Maryland permit, with no status in the District of Columbia, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UNREGISTERED AMMO-MISD | 10:40:00 | 250501001384 | R/O observed an individual enter the Capitol Visitor Center and placed their bag through the X-ray machine. The image on the X-ray screen displayed what appeared to be ammunition. An administrative search of the Suspect's bag revealed 9 rounds of ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS interviewed the Suspect. | |
| DUI ALCOHOL OF DRUGS + TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - PROPERTY DAMAGE ONLY | 18:50:00 | 250501001403 | R/O responded to the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE for a report of a traffic accident. While speaking with the Complainant whose vehicle was struck by the Suspects vehicle, R/O observed the Suspect walk across the street. R/O stopped the Suspect. While speaking with the Suspect, A/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
| FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - RECKLESS DRIVING | 12:26:00 | 250501001374 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling on Washington Avenue SW, cross over a solid line, and change lanes without a signal. R/O followed the vehicle for several blocks onto Fourth Street SW. R/O attempted a traffic stop when the Suspect fled at a high rate of speed, running lights and crossing into oncoming traffic on Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The Suspect was last seen traveling westbound on Pennsylvania Avenue NW. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. | |

As R/O responded to the scene, a passerby was able to intervene until R/O was able to detain the Suspect. The Complainant stated that she did not know the Suspect and did not consent to being touched. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

RO conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags confirmed they were expired and revealed they were registered to a different vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| SIMPLE ASSUALT | 17:12:00 | 250429001351 | R/O was flagged down in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. The Complainant stated they were assaulted by several members of the demonstration group. Members of the demonstration made comments that the Complainant was being disorderly. R/O viewed a video taken by the Complainant, which depicted both the Complainant being disorderly and several members of the demonstration group pushing and shoving the Complainant. Video evidence was given to CIS and will continue to investigate. | |
| RECKLESS DRIVING | 18:43:00 | 250429001350 | R/O was standing on the East Front of the Capitol Building when he heard a motorcycle revving its engine. R/O observed a motorcycle producing a large cloud of white smoke inside the perimeter of the Capitol grounds. R/O responded to the area and found the motorcycle in the Unit Block of First Street SE performing a burnout. R/O attempted to order the Suspect to turn off the vehicle, who then fled at a high rate of speed. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
