R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed no return on file. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located an open bottle of alcohol under the front passenger seat. | |
FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE + RECKLESS DRIVING | 16:31:00 | 241125003034 | R/O observed a vehicle commit multiple moving violations, in the Unit Block of I Street SE. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. While R/O was completing multiple notices of infractions, the Suspect accelerated at a high rate of speed passing through a solid red signal. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
TRAFFIC – DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 1:57:00 | 241124003019 | R/O observed a vehicle sit through a light cycle in the intersection of South Capitol and I Streets SW. Upon approach, R/O observed that the individual was slumped over and unresponsive. After gaining the Suspect's attention, R/O observed that the Suspect's speech was slurred and a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanated from their person. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE | 22:06:00 | 241124003023 | R/O observed a vehicle in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW failing to maintain their lane. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Third Street NW. Upon approach, R/O could detect odors of an alcoholic beverage and marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
RECKLESS DRIVING + DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE FLEEING FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE | 17:20:00 | 241124003021 | R/O observed a vehicle pass him at a high rate of speed eastbound in the 100 Block of E Street NW. The vehicle then sped past heavy traffic while changing lanes without signaling. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of North Capitol Street NE. During the stop, R/O observed the Suspect's eyes were red and speech was slurred. The Suspect then accelerated at a high rate of speed and fled the traffic stop. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + POSSESSION OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA | 3:25:00 | 241123003015 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 500 and 600 Blocks of New Jersey Avenue NW straddling lanes. R/O then observed the Suspect drive northbound in the southbound lane of the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was initiated in the Unit Block of D Street NW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed a cup with a liquid consistent with an alcoholic beverage. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + TRAFFIC - OPERATING AFTER REVOCATION (OAR) POSSESSION OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA FLEEING FROM A POLICE OFFICER - FELONY | 18:05:00 | 241122003011 | R/O observed a vehicle travelling westbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW swerving lanes and driving aggressively. A/O attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW, but the Suspect fled. The Suspect continued to flee and struck traffic control gates at Fourth and C Streets and at Fifth and C Streets SW. The Suspects vehicle came to a stop in the 400 Block of Fourth Street SW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a revoked Maryland drivers permit with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, an open container of alcoholic beverage was found on the vehicle floorboard. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 18:21:00 | 241122003012 | R/O and A/O responded to the intersection of Washington Avenue and C Street SW for the report of a traffic accident. After approaching one of the involved vehicles, R/O and A/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspects vehicle. The Suspect admitted to consuming alcohol. SFSTs were administered and due to the numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION | 9:47:00 | 241122003006 | R/O observed a vehicle parked illegally in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. While speaking to the Suspect, RO observed a box of 9mm handgun ammunition in plain view inside of the vehicle. The Suspect was removed from the vehicle without incident. An inquiry through the Metropolitan Police Department Gun Registry Unit revealed the Suspect did not possess a permit to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. TAS and CIS were notified. |
