A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed their District of Columbia operator's permit was suspended. A WALES/NCIC check of the temporary tag affixed to vehicle yielded no record on file. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
CONTEMPT - MISDEMEANOR + POSSESION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD | 11:14:00 | 2.41113E+11 | R/O observed an individual at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and D Street NW smoking a cigarette emitting an odor of marijuana. A stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an active stay away order from an individual also located at the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest. During a search incident to arrest a white powdery substance was located on the Suspect. CSS responded to test the substance, which tested positive for cocaine and heroin. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
SIMPLE ASSAULT | 11:22:00 | 2.41113E+11 | R/O observed an altercation in the cafeteria of a Senate Office Building. R/O observed the Suspect reach out and grab a flag wrapped around the Complainants neck, causing the Complaints head to jerk back. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + POSSESSION W/INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA-MISD | 17:57:00 | 2.41113E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound, in the 100 Block of Third Street SW, with an expired registration. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the registration was suspended out of Maryland. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW. Upon approach, R/O noticed clouds of smoke and the odor consistent with marijuana emitting from the vehicle. SFST's were conducted and due to the numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest. During the search of the vehicle, R/O located a black bag in the center console. The contents in the bag were a small digital scale, small glass jars, and a plastic bag containing several rolled-up balls consistent with a green leafy substance. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
SHOPLIFTING + THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM - MISD BENCH WARRANT | 8:46:00 | 2.41112E+11 | R/O was flagged down by a Complainant who stated an individual was shoplifting and making threats inside of a store located in the Unit Block of I Street SE. R/O entered the store and made contact with the Suspect, who admitted to stealing items from that location. Further investigation revealed the Suspect threatened to "smack" someone who attempted to stop their illegal activity. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect was subject to an active bench warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene, and CIS was advised of the offense. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O advised the Suspect to stop screaming as they were disrupting a press conference in progress on the House Steps of the U.S. Capitol Building. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. While speaking to the Suspect, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESS PROHIBITED WEAPON | 3:37:00 | 2.4111E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle stopped on top of a curb in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a switchblade knife was found. CSS responded and processed the scene. |
