A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed it was registered to another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a cancelled Rhode Island operator's permit, a suspended Virginia operator's permit, and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. | |
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1st IRST OFFENSE + CHILD ABUSE - SECOND DEGREE (X2) | 23:50:00 | 2.41118E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle drive through a solid red light at the intersection of Third Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of D Street NE. Upon approach, R/O noticed two children accompanied the driver in the vehicle. During the course of the stop, the driver wore sunglasses when initially interacting with R/O and was slow to respond to questions. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE- 2ND OFF + POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE | 1:27:00 | 2.41117E+11 | R/O responded to the area of First Street and Columbus Circle NE for an unconscious driver slumped over the steering wheel of their vehicle. While attempting to make entry into the vehicle, the Suspect regained consciousness and opened the door to communicate with the officers. R/O observed the Suspect with glassy, bloodshot eyes and drooping eyelids. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a cup emanating an alcoholic beverage in the center console. | |
UNLAWFUL ENTRY + BENCH WARRANT - FAILURE TO APPEAR | 6:16:00 | 2.41116E+11 | R/O and A/O responded to the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NW for the report of a disorderly individual refusing to leave the premises. Upon arrival, the Complainant stated the Suspect was in the restricted area of the Rotunda Construction. The Complainant asked the Suspect to leave the area but the Suspect refused to leave. R/O and A/O ordered the Suspect to leave the area in which the Suspect failed to comply. A WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the Suspect had a warrant held by the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an expired permit from Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 22:10:00 | 2.41115E+11 | Officer Timothy Bergel (HD-3) observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW swerving lanes, braking unnecessarily and struck a curb. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (eb) | |
DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 19:40:00 | 2.41115E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 200 Block of First Street NW with expired tags. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. While speaking with the suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY LESS THAN $1000 + DISORDERLY CONDUCT - CAUSE UNREASON FEAR | 17:20:00 | 2.41114E+11 | R/O was flagged down by a citizen who claimed an individual had just destroyed property within a store located at 318 Massachusetts Avenue NE. Upon approaching the place of business, R/O noticed its entrance sign was significantly damaged. Further investigation revealed the Suspect entered the store, made loud, racist comments that disturbed staff and customers, and proceeded to destroy the entrance sign, as well as other items within the store, upon being asked to leave. The Suspect was last seen walking westbound in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Attempts to locate the Suspect met with negative results. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was advised of the offense and will continue to investigate. | |
DEFACING PRIVATE/PUBLIC PROPERTY | 10:06:00 | 2.41114E+11 | R/O discovered graffiti on the bench and fountain within the Spirit of Justice Park located in the Unit Block of C Street SE. A permanent marker appeared to have been used to apply the graffiti as it could not be easily removed. Specialist Robinson (CSS) responded to process the scene. | |
PERMIT SUSPENDED-OAS + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS | 16:57:00 | 2.41114E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle that failed to use a proper turn signal while changing lanes in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed their District of Columbia operator's permit was suspended. A WALES/NCIC check of the temporary tag affixed to vehicle yielded no record on file. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
