FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE + NO PERMIT 21:38:00 2.41109E+11 R/O observed a vehicle proceed through a solid red traffic signal, at the intersection of Third Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended Maryland driver's license and no valid status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. Additionally, the check also revealed an extraditable warrant issued out of Montgomery County, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE 22:03:00 2.41109E+11 R/O responded to Second Street and Constitution Avenue NE for the report of a hit and run traffic collision. The Complainant stated a vehicle struck their vehicle from behind and then fled the scene at the intersection of Second and K Streets NE. A canvass for the striking vehicle yielded negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 18:31:00 2.41109E+11 R/O observed a vehicle in the Unit Block of H Street NW displaying expired tags. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an expired permit out of the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM 5:16:00 2.41109E+11 R/O observed a vehicle straddling lanes from the 500 to 700 Blocks of North Capitol Street NE. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 800 Block of North Capitol Street NE. The Suspect displayed what appeared to be a law enforcement badge. R/O inquired if the Suspect was armed. The Suspect replied in the affirmative and stated there was a firearm inside of the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC inquiry along with a District of Columbia Gun Registry inquiry, revealed the handgun was not registered, nor did the Suspect have a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. CSS responded to the scene and recovered a .40 caliber handgun loaded with 7 rounds of ammunition. CIS was notified and conducted the investigation. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE 2:38:00 2.41109E+11 R/O observed a vehicle pass through red signal at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was initiated in 300 New Jersey Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O smelled a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were administered and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 18:55:00 2.41108E+11 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 400 Block of F Street NE with an obstructed Maryland tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of Fifth Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check was conducted and revealed the Suspect had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAG 16:17:00 2.41108E+11 R/O observed a vehicle with Maryland temporary tags traveling at a high rate of speed in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was initiated in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag was registered to a different vehicle. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a suspended Maryland license with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FAILURE TO APPEAR 19:16:00 2.41107E+11 R/O observed an individual in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE known to have an active warrant. A subject stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications confirmed the active warrant, which was issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 15:25:00 2.41106E+11 CIS responded to the 500 Block of Indiana Avenue NW for an individual with an active warrant. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active arrest warrant issued by the United States District Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE X6 + DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE 17:03:00 2.41106E+11 R/O while on patrol received an alert to a LPR hit for a vehicle in the intersection of Fifteenth Street and Constitution Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed the driver associated with the vehicle had multiple outstanding warrants. R/O observed the vehicle in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW. After an USCP Communications WALES/NCIC check revealed the same return, R/O conducted a traffic stop in the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and C Street NW. While detaining the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the Suspect's vehicle. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed six active extraditable warrants, from multiple agencies, out of Maryland and Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest. During the arrest, R/O noticed a Steel Welder in plain view consistent with the suspected proceeds of the crime listed on one of the warrants. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. SFSTs were conducted, which revealed multiple signs of impairment. A follow up investigation by CIS revealed the Steel Welder in the vehicle SKU number matched the stolen Steel Welder.
