The vehicle continued to obstruct the roadway after R/O requested the Suspect keep driving. The Suspect made a threatening comment towards R/O before driving away from the scene. R/O made contact with the Suspect at the intersection of North Capitol and H Streets NE. The Suspect's language was slurred and eyes were bloodshot. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's rear tag revealed it was expired but with a different expiration date. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. Upon approach, R/O observed raised markings and what appeared to be a whiteout marker on the tags expiration. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle confirmed the tags were expired. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Second Street SE. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the Suspect's vehicle. Additionally, a WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect has a suspended license in Maryland with no status in Virginia or the District of Columbia. SFSTs were conducted, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
