R/O entered the store and made contact with the Suspect, who admitted to stealing items from that location. Further investigation revealed the Suspect threatened to "smack" someone who attempted to stop their illegal activity. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect was subject to an active bench warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene, and CIS was advised of the offense. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - SECOND OFFENSE | 20:50:00 | 2.41111E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 and 700 Blocks of North Capitol Street NW with no headlights. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. While speaking to the Suspect, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a switchblade knife was found. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended Maryland driver's license and no valid status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. Additionally, the check also revealed an extraditable warrant issued out of Montgomery County, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an expired permit out of the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. | CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM | 5:16:00 | 2.41109E+11 | R/O observed a vehicle straddling lanes from the 500 to 700 Blocks of North Capitol Street NE. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 800 Block of North Capitol Street NE. The Suspect displayed what appeared to be a law enforcement badge. R/O inquired if the Suspect was armed. The Suspect replied in the affirmative and stated there was a firearm inside of the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC inquiry along with a District of Columbia Gun Registry inquiry, revealed the handgun was not registered, nor did the Suspect have a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the District of Columbia. CSS responded to the scene and recovered a .40 caliber handgun loaded with 7 rounds of ammunition. CIS was notified and conducted the investigation. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a suspended Maryland license with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia.
