CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION NO PERMIT UNLAWFUL TRANSPORTATION OR RECEIPT OF IMPORTED FIREARM POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE 16:14:00 240911002353 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW displaying expired vehicle registration stickers. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Second Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Alabama, with no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect advised R/O of two firearms in the vehicle. CSS responded to process the scene. A loaded .22 caliber handgun with an inserted magazine with 18 rounds of ammunition, and a black 9mm handgun were located. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT - URINATING OR DEFECATING + PUBLIC INDECENCY - A LEWD EXPOSURE OF SEXUAL ORGANS 10:31:00 240911002345 R/O observed an individual urinating on the wall of the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT + THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM - MISD 9:54:00 240911002344 R/O responded to the intersection of Third Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE for the report of an assault. R/O arrived on scene at the same location and the Complainant advised they were walking in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE when a verbal disagreement ensued with the Suspect. The Suspect then proceeded to strike the Complainant with a walking stick and yell "I can kill you". CSS responded and processed the scene. During a canvass of the area A/O located the Suspect at the intersection of Seventh and F Streets NE. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 2:30:00 240910002329 R/O observed a vehicle driving eastbound in the Unit Block of D Street NW with a temporary tag covering a D.C. license plate. A WALES/NCIC check of the temporary tag revealed it belonged to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed multiple extraditable warrants out of Prince Williams County, Virginia confirmed through USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 16:19:00 240909002326 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired temporary tag in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended Maryland permit, a surrendered DC license and no valid status for Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 20:36:00 240909002328 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration in the 100 Block of East Capitol Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an extraditable warrant out of Maryland confirmed through USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT FIRST DEGREE (STOLEN AUTO) 13:10:00 240908002323 R/O responded to the 400 Block of South Capitol Street SW for a report of a stolen vehicle. Upon R/O's arrival, the Complainant stated they parked their vehicle there at approximately 0330 hours on Sunday, September 8, 2024. When the Complainant returned to retrieve their vehicle later that day, it was no longer there. A canvass of the immediate area met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT + CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 4:10:00 240908002322 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration traveling westbound in the 300 Block of H Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of H Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver had a suspended Maryland operator's permit with no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest. During an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O discovered a loaded firearm containing seven (7) rounds in the magazine and one (1) round in the chamber. The firearm was inside a bag within reach of both the vehicle's driver and passenger, but neither held a concealed carry license issued through the District of Columbia. Furthermore, the firearm was not registered to either individual, which was verified by CIS upon conducting a check of the Metropolitan Police Department's gun registry. The passenger was also placed under arrest and both Suspects were transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
NO PERMIT 22:21:00 240908002324 R/O observed a vehicle driving northbound at a high rate of speed without illuminated headlights in the 400 Block of South Capitol Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 21:20:00 240907002321 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound at an unreasonable speed in the Unit Block of Third Street NW. R/O then saw the vehicle pass through a red signal at the intersection of Third Street and Maryland Avenue SW. A traffic stop was initiated in the 200 Block of Third Street SW. Upon approach, R/O observed an open container of an alcoholic beverage behind the drivers seat of the vehicle. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O noticed that the Suspect's eyes were watery and a strong odor of alcohol emanated from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
