A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect had two active bench warrants issued by DC Superior Court for Failure to Appear. TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - LEAVING SCENE-PROPERTY DAMAGE POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL-VEHICLE TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - PROPERTY DAMAGE ONLY | 20:44:00 | 240904002289 | R/O observed a vehicle stopped and parked in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O also observed that the vehicle had major front end damage and the vehicle appeared to have collided with a traffic light post at this location. An investigation revealed that suspect's vehicle had collided with two other parked vehicles in the unit block of F Street NW. During the course of the stop, R/O could smell an overwhelming odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from susspect and observed an open container consistent with an alcoholic beverage in plain view within the vehicle. SFSTs were subsequently administered. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to the scene. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed that the vehicle tags belonged to another vehicle and that the Suspect's drivers license was suspended. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was apprehended in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active warrant issued by the Charles County, Maryland Sheriff's Office and an active warrant issued by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. R/O spoke with the Complainant who stated that the Suspect struck them in the face with a closed fist that visibly left a red mark on the Complainant's left eye. The Complainant stated that he fell off his bike in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW and several juveniles approached him. After returning to his residence, he noticed his cell phone missing. The Complainant advised he was able to electronically track his phone in the area of Third and G Streets SW. A/O responded to the area of Third and G Streets SW and located several items matching the description of items the Complainant described. CSS responded to the scene. CIS investigating. | |

DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE | 1:17:00 | 240901002260 | R/O responded to the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW to provide backup to A/O conducting a traffic stop at the location. A/O observed a vehicle with no running lights traveling southbound in the intersection of North Capitol Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW. While speaking to the Suspect, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and with bloodshot eyes. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O observed a handgun in a black bag on the front passenger seat. The recovered handgun was loaded with one round in the chamber and a loaded magazine with nine (9) live rounds. CSS responded to process scene. CIS was notified and will investigate. |
