DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE 1:48:00 250205000310 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in a southbound lane within the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
BENCH WARRANT - FAILURE TO APPEAR X2 17:27:00 250205000319 R/O observed the Suspect, known to be a wanted person by R/O, in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications confirmed the Suspect had two misdemeanor bench warrants issued by the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE (X2) POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 21:35:00 250204000308 R/O conducted an administrative search of a vehicle, with the consent of the driver, as it attempted to enter the South Barricade of the U.S. Capitol Building. During the course of the search, R/O discovered a handgun loaded with a 12-round magazine containing 11 rounds of ammunition and a separate 15-round magazine containing 11 rounds of ammunition. S/A verified through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registration Unit that the driver of the vehicle had no permit to carry a firearm within the District of Columbia nor was there record of a firearm or any associated ammunition registered under the driver's name. CSS responded to process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 2:36:00 250204000302 R/O observed a vehicle proceed through a solid red traffic signal traveling eastbound at the intersection of Constitution and Maryland Avenues. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 200 Block of East Capitol Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended through Virginia with no driving status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS ALTERED REGISTRATION 22:27:00 250203000300 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE with no lights running. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed that the tags belonged to a different vehicle. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of A Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no driving status in Maryland, Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect stated they had just bought the vehicle and the tags belonged to their relative. A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN revealed no registration in all 50 states. Further investigation of the tag revealed the expiration sticker was altered and not issued by the Maryland DMV. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 18:27:00 250203000298 R/O observed a vehicle proceed through a solid red traffic signal traveling eastbound at the intersection of Washington and Independence Avenues SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia and no driving status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUG + POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 23:27:00 250203000301 R/O observed a vehicle stopped at a red light facing northbound at the intersection of South Capitol and E Streets SW. R/O observed as the vehicle sat through two light cycles without moving. R/O positioned his cruiser behind the vehicle to check on the welfare of the driver. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O knocked on the window, to which the Suspect rolled the windows down. When asking questions to the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect had slurred speech. R/O also observed that, in plain view, on the center console, was a blue capsule containing a white powdery substance. A similar white powdery substance was observed on the Suspect's pants. SFST's were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 9:35:00 250203000287 R/O observed an individual submit to an administrative search upon entering the a Congressional building by placing their bag on the x-ray machine located at the Garage Sub-Basement Door. During the course of the ensuing search, R/O discovered a ten (10) round magazine containing nine (9) rounds of ammunition within the person's bag. CIS verified through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registration Unit that the individual had no permit to carry a firearm within the District of Columbia nor was there record of a firearm or any associated ammunition registered under the individual's name. CSS responded to process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
OPERATING AFTER REVOCATION (OAR) + MISUSE OF TAGS 16:35:00 250202000285 R/O observed a vehicle bearing an expired tag in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications revealed a revoked driving status out of the District of Columbia and no permit status in Maryland or Virginia. A check of the tag revealed it was registered to a different vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 2:30:00 250202000282 R/O observed a vehicle traveling with a non-functioning headlight in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of South Capitol Street SW. When asked for their operator's permit, the driver could only provide an identification card. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's permit was revoked in Virginia with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
