A welfare check was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended license in Virginia and Maryland as well as a revoked license in the District of Columbia. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed a half-empty bottle of alcohol as well as a cup in the front seat cup holder with a liquid emanating the smell of alcohol. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| NO PERMIT + COUNTERFEIT TAGS | 21:14:00 | 250125000225 | R/O observed a vehicle displaying what appeared to be a counterfeit tag traveling in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag yielded no record on file. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| FLEEING FROM POLICE OFFICER | 11:26:00 | 250124000218 | CIS responded to USCP Headquarters for an individual with an active warrant. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force stopped the individual in the 600 Block of Mississippi Avenue SE and transported the individual to USCP Headquarters. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active arrest warrant issued by the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, confirmed through USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and processed. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 3RD OR SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE | 1:30:00 | 250124000217 | R/Os were dispatched to check on the welfare of an individual within a vehicle parked in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Upon approaching the vehicle, the occupant was observed sleeping in the driver's seat while the vehicle was idling. Once the occupant awoke and began conversing, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the individual's breath. SFSTs were subsequently conducted. Due to various signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE-1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE | 19:50:00 | 250124000220 | R/O responded to the intersection of Delaware Avenue and D Street NE for the report of a traffic accident. R/O approached the Suspect's vehicle and observed that the Suspect's pupils were dilated, speech was slurred and smelled the faint odor of alcohol emanating from inside the vehicle. As the Suspect was taken out of the vehicle and detained. A/O observed two small plastic bags that contained a powdery substance on the driver's seat as well as a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance underneath the driver's seat. Due to suspicion of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an administrative search of the Suspect, A/O observed a pouch with a white powdery substance fall from between the Suspect's legs. SFSTs were conducted at Headquarters. CSS responded to test the substance, which tested positive for cocaine. CIS will continue to investigate. | |
| CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING | 11:47:00 | 250123000208 | R/O observed multiple individuals disrupting normal building operations by chanting loudly and obstructing pedestrian access to the Lower Independence Avenue Door of the Rayburn House Office Building. The individuals were given warnings to cease and desist their activity, but they refused to stop. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE-1ST OFFENSE | 3:22:00 | 250123000205 | R/O observed a vehicle operating with no lights running at the intersection of Third and Independence Avenue SW. The vehicle sat through a green light signal and then proceeded to stop in the middle of the intersection. A traffic stop was initiated at First and Independence Avenue SW. During the stop, R/O observed the Suspect's speech was slurred when responding to questions. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Second Street SW. During the course of the stop, R/O noticed the driver appeared to be in a stupor and exhibited low, slow, and raspy speech. SFSTs were subsequently conducted. Due to various signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the tag was expired and a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check on the driver returned with a suspended license in Virginia with no status in Maryland or the District Of Columbia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| THEFT ONE - STOLEN AUTO | 20:30:00 | 250121000193 | R/O was flagged down by the Complainant in the 1200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE for a report of a stolen vehicle. The Complainant stated they parked their vehicle at 1248 Pennsylvania Avenue SE and went inside the establishment located at that address. Upon the Complainant's return moments later, the vehicle was missing. A canvass of the area met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. |
