RECIEVING STOLEN PROPERTY + COUNTERFEIT TAGS 21:17:00 250429001357 R/O observed a vehicle with no rear tag perform a U-turn and then continued northbound on Third Street NW. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 500 Block of Third Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's temp tag yielded negative results. The Suspect provided a District of Columbia hard tag from inside the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the hard tag returned to a stolen vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified.
SIMPLE ASSUALT 16:05:00 250429001348 R/O observed two individuals arguing loudly in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. The Victim stated that the Suspect struck them on their arm. R/O observed a mark on the victims' arm consistent with an impact. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 21:02:00 250429001356 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags traveling northbound on Second Street NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of D Street NE. Upon approach, the Suspect could not provide a permit at the time of the stop and instead provided a passport and social security number for identification. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed the Suspect's permit was suspended out of Virginia, with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSUALT 17:12:00 250429001351 R/O was flagged down in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. The Complainant stated they were assaulted by several members of the demonstration group. Members of the demonstration made comments that the Complainant was being disorderly. R/O viewed a video taken by the Complainant, which depicted both the Complainant being disorderly and several members of the demonstration group pushing and shoving the Complainant. Video evidence was given to CIS and will continue to investigate.
POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 12:59:00 250428001329 R/O observed an individual enter a screening site for the Capitol Visitor Center and place a bag through the X-ray machine. R/O observed what appeared to be ammunition on X-ray screen. R/O conducted an administrative search of the individual's bag and recovered a magazine containing nine rounds of ammunition. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS were notified. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 13:43:00 250428001331 R/O observed multiple individuals demonstrating in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspects were given three warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity but failed to do so. It is against the law to demonstrate in the Congressional Buildings. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FAILURE TO APPEAR (x2) 22:05:00 250427001321 R/O was flagged down by a citizen who reported an individual possibly suffering from an overdose in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O responded to the area and discovered an individual lying on the ground and muttering incoherently. R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect. A WALES/NCIC check of the individual revealed they were subject to two (2) active bench warrants issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Upon confirmation of the warrants, the Suspect was placed under arrest. After receiving medical treatment commensurate with their level of intoxication, the Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + RECKLESS DRIVING 20:47:00 250427001320 R/O observed a vehicle revving its engine in the vicinity of North Capitol and G Streets NW. The vehicle was then seen driving at a high rate of speed with no regard for other motorists. After observing the vehicle make an illegal turn at a red light without coming to a complete stop, R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. During the course of the stop, R/O observed that the driver's eyes were glassy and there was a faint odor of alcohol emanating from both the vehicle and the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT - 2ND OFFENSE + COUNTERFEIT TAGS 17:34:00 250427001319 R/O observed a vehicle displaying what appeared to be counterfeit tags in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed they were registered to a different vehicle, as well as expired. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had no no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + POSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 21:52:00 250427001322 R/O observed an individual vomiting outside the driver's side door of a vehicle stopped in a lane of traffic at the intersection of South Capitol Street and Virginia Avenue SW. Upon approaching the individual, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from both the Suspect and the vehicle. Furthermore, R/O noticed the individual's speech was slurred and their eyes were glassy. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered an open bottle containing an alcoholic beverage on the passenger-side floorboard, as well as two (2) additional open bottles containing alcoholic beverages in the trunk.
