A/O directed the Suspect to exit the restricted area, the Suspect struck A/O in the chest with a closed fist. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1200 Block of First Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle's registration was associated with a stolen vehicle out of Fairfax County, VA. A check of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) revealed the vehicle was not stolen and was not currently registered to the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSSESSION OF UNREGISERED AMMUNITION UNLAWFUL POSSESS/TRANSFER OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE | 9:35:00 | 240829002240 | R/O discovered a loaded firearm and extra magazine inside the Suspect's bag during an administrative search at the Blue Plains Offsite Facility. MPD Firearms Registration Branch confirmed the Suspect did not possess a District of Columbia concealed carry permit, and that the firearm and ammunition were not registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene, and CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A traffic stop was initiated in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag belonged to another vehicle and the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 2ND OFFENSE + FAILURE TO APPEAR (USAO) POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE PERMIT REVOKED - OAR | 8:20:00 | 240828002228 | R/O observed a vehicle pass a solid red light at the Intersection of First Street and Constitution Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. Upon approach, R/O requested license and registration in which the Suspect stated they did not have a license or vehicle registration. The Suspect appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a failure to appear warrant out of DC Superior Court and the license was revoked in the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. SFST's were unable to be conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. While conducting inventory search of the vehicle, an open bottle of alcohol was located on the passenger seat. | |
FLEEING FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE + FAIL TO OBEY OFFICER FAIL TO EXHIBIT LICENSE RESISTING ARREST | 18:33:00 | 230828002232 | R/O observed a vehicle conduct multiple traffic infractions in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. R/O continued to follow the vehicle until the 200 Block of E street NE where he tried to pull the vehicle over. The Suspect refused to pull over and continued East bound until the 600 Block of E Street NE where he pulled over. Once pulled over the Suspect exited the vehicle and refused to listen to R/O demands to get back in the vehicle. A/O responded to the scene and attempted to take the Suspect into custody when he started to pull his hands away and tense up on the Officers. R/O and A/O were able to bring the Suspect to the ground and place him in custody. R/O had to retrieve the Suspect's ID from his hands because he was refusing to give him his name. Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications revealed the Suspect had a suspended permit in Maryland with no status in Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + COUNTERFEIT TAGS | 19:33:00 | 240827002224 | R/O observed a vehicle in the 500/600 Block of North Capitol Street NW displaying counterfeit tags, which was confirmed through a WALES/NCIC check by USCP Communications. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. During the stop, R/O detected an odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The Suspect admitted to ingesting an edible of marijuana prior to operating the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
UNLAWFUL ENTRY + RESISTING ARREST | 8:07:00 | 240827002214 | R/O observed the Suspect bypass the bike racks and begin climbing the Rotunda Steps of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O gave the Suspect multiple commands to stop, but the Suspect refused to comply. R/O attempted to detain the Suspect but the Suspect resisted. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
