A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed no valid registration on file. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended permit out of Virginia and no valid status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. Further investigation revealed the Suspect had covered their expired Virginia tag with the fraudulent Virginia temporary tag. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Upon arrival, R/O observed an individual matching the description of the Suspect lookout and initiated a stop near North Barricade. During the course of R/O's investigation, the Suspect stated they had a knife on them. A/Os performed a consented search of the Suspect's bag, which yielded negative results for a weapon. A/O conducted a frisk of the Suspect and located a foldable knife in their front pocket. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
