ALTERED REGISTRATION 18:35:00 2.41E+11 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tags were expired, although it had the current year's sticker affixed to them. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of D Street NW. After further investigation, the Suspect admitted to the R/O that the stickers had been bought from an individual and placed on the tag. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER RESISTING ARREST 18:17:00 2.41E+11 R/O observed the Suspect swing a large metal jug towards the Complainant in the 200 Block of Washington Avenue SW before leaving the location. A/O located the Suspect in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SW. As Officers attempted the arrest, the Suspect tensed up and refused to comply with verbal commands. Additionally, the Suspect spat in A/O's face and attempted to bite AO's finger. The Suspect arrested & transported to HQ. CSS responded. CIS notified.
PERMIT SUSPENDED-OAS + RESISTING ARREST POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE-MISD 19:02:00 2.41E+11 R/O observed a vehicle traveling backwards, in the northbound lane, of the 1100 Block of Third Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1000 Block of Second Place SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended license in the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. While placing the Suspect under arrest, the Suspect physically resisted and refused to comply with verbal commands. A search of the vehicle revealed a brown paper grocery bag containing multiple smaller plastic bags with a green, leafy residue, and odor consistent with marijuana. CSS responded to process the scene. Suspect processed at HQ
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 11:16:00 2.41E+11 R/O conducted a name check of the Suspect applying for a position with the Architect of the Capitol at 499 South Capitol Street SW. A NCIC/WALES check revealed a warrant out of Rockville, MD with Maryland State Police. The warrant was confirmed by USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE (THEFT FROM BUILDING) 15:30:00 2.41E+11 R/O responded to the U.S. Botanic Garden Conservatory Building for a report of a theft. Complainant stated an unknown Suspect stole a plant from a garden display sometime within the last 48 hours. Suspect remains unknown. CSS processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY 12:44:00 2.41E+11 R/O responded to a report of a damaged vehicle in the 500 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. Upon arrival, R/O discovered a vehicle with a shattered window and an open door. The Complainant advised the vehicle was locked and secured upon parking there at approximately 0800 hours. CSS processed the scene. CIS notified, will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 17:25:37 2.41E+11 R/O observed a motorcycle without a visible license plate in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE + POSS OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 12:30:00 2.41E+11 R/O initiated a routine administrative search of the Suspect as the individual entered the Northwest Door of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. During the course of the search, a green, leafy substance and a single round of ammunition were discovered in the Suspect's belongings. CSS responded to test the substance, which was positive for THC. CIS confirmed the Suspect had no ammunition registered to them through the District of Columbia. Suspect was arrested and transported to HQ for processing.
DUI - 1ST OFF, CARRY PISTOL W/OUT LICENSE, CARRY PISTOL WHILE IMPAIRED, LEWD, INDECENT, OR OBSCENE ACTS, POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALC, POSS OF UNREG FIREARM, UNLAWFUL POSS OF FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE, POSS OF UNREG AMMUNITION 3:50:00 2.41E+11 R/O observed a vehicle come to an abrupt stop in the Unit Block of D Street NW. Shortly thereafter, the Suspect exited the driver's side of the vehicle and exposed their genitalia in clear view of R/O. A stop was immediately initiated. During the course of the stop, R/O could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted, which revealed multiple signs of impairment. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of an open container clearly labeled as an alcoholic beverage, as well as a handgun loaded with a magazine containing 10 rounds of ammunition. The Suspect did not possess a concealed carry pistol license issued through the District of Columbia. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was advised of the offense.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE- 1ST OFF 2:55:00 2.41E+11 R/O observed a vehicle facing southbound at the intersection of Second and C Streets NE stopped at a solid green light. During the course of the investigation, R/O observed the vehicle weave and drift in and out of their lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Second and East Capitol Streets NE. R/O observed the Suspect had bloodshot eyes. SFSTs were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and processed at HQ.
