FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE | 1:08:00 | 240729001980 | A/O responded to the Unit Block of D Street NW to assist R/O with a subject stop involving a person who was found sleeping on a park bench. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the individual was subject to an active extraditable warrant out of Camden County, New Jersey. Once USCP Communications confirmed the warrant, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION RECKLESS DRIVING | 1:10:00 | 240728001975 | R/O observed a vehicle reverse rapidly onto the curb near two pedestrians and then accelerate rapidly westbound in the 100 Block of M Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Fourth and M Streets SE. Upon approach, R/O observed the driver's eyes were bloodshot. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O found four (4) spent bullet casings inside of a book bag located in the trunk of the vehicle. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE | 0:29:00 | 240728001973 | R/O and A/O observed a vehicle stopped well beyond the stop line for the traffic signal at Washington Avenue and C Street SW. The vehicle then accelerated at a rapid pace. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspects name revealed negative results. A/O observed that the Suspect was slow to respond, and slurred their speech. R/O smelled a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage that emitted from the vehicle. Due to suspicion of intoxication, SFSTs were conducted, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O-2 observed a 12 oz can of Sprite with pink/red liquid, inconsistent with the color of Sprite. The contents of the soda can smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage. | |
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) RESISTING ARREST FAIL TO OBEY OFFICER | 16:01:00 | 240728001976 | R/O observed a vehicle with expired registration at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW. A traffic stop was initiated in the Unit Block of E Street NW. Upon approach, R/O observed the driver's eyes were glazed and detected a strong odor of cannabis emanating from inside the vehicle. Due to the suspicion of impairment, R/O gave multiple orders for the driver to exit the vehicle in order to perform SFSTs. However, the individual refused to comply. While being forcibly removed from the vehicle, the Suspect attempted to punch R/O with a closed fist. The Suspect then continued to resist R/O and A/O by tensing up and pulling their hands away. Once under control, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Madison Drive NW. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect had bloodshot eyes, and detected a strong odor of marijuana that emitted from the vehicle. SFSTs were administered, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

While speaking to the Suspect, R/O was advised that the driver admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O located multiple containers of alcohol. | |
SIMPLE ASSAULT | 20:15:00 | 240726001965 | R/O was flagged down in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW by an individual that stated a Suspect was physically assaulting a Complainant in the same location. R/O observed the Suspect using both hands to restrain the Complainant that was attempting to escape the Suspect's grasp. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE- 1ST OFF | 21:42:00 | 240726001966 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of H Street NW with an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of H Street NE. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor consistent with marijuana emanating from inside of the vehicle. R/O observed a clear plastic water bottle containing a submerged white rolled cigarette and a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance in the center console. A/O noticed the Suspect to have bloodshot and watery eyes. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O and A/O responded to the area and found the Suspect using the area as shelter at a time when the building is no longer open to the public. The Suspect was previously found inside the building after hours and had been given a warning. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
