SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING + DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 3:22:00 2.40921E+11 R/O witnessed a vehicle with its emergency hazard lights on and traveling at a high rate of speed, collide with another vehicle at the intersection of Third Street and Indiana Avenue NW. The vehicle fled the scene, nearly colliding with multiple other vehicles in the process. A traffic stop was conducted on the eastbound exit ramp of Interstate 695 towards South Capitol Street. Upon approach, R/O detected the odor of alcohol emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While searching the vehicle, a clear plastic bag with capsules that tested positive for amphetamines/methamphetamine were found.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TAGS POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL 9:41:00 2.4092E+11 R/O observed a vehicle with heavy tint in the 100 Block of Third Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the license plate belonged to a different vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect showed that he had a suspended Maryland permit with no valid status in Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O observed an open container of an alcoholic beverage.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL RECKLESS DRIVING 19:40:00 2.4092E+11 R/O observed a vehicle weaving through traffic lanes with no lights operating and traveling at a high rate of speed in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. While conversing with the Suspect, the R/O smelled alcohol on the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. During the search of the vehicle, an unopened can of beer, an empty 40oz beer bottle, and a glass pipe were found. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 0:24:00 2.4092E+11 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 200 Block of H Street NW displaying an expired registration. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 700 Block of Eighth Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the suspect had a suspended Maryland driver's license and no permit status in Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ADW - OTHER WEAPON 9:29:00 2.4092E+11 CIS responded to the Unit Block of D Street NW for a report of an assault. The Complainant stated the Suspect followed him from Union Station after an altercation on a Metro train. When the Complainant turned around to confront the Suspect, the Suspect used a chemical pepper spray on the Complainant and fled the scene. CIS will continue to investigate.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE + TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE POSSESSION OF UNREG. FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSSESSION OF UNREG. AMMO 19:06:00 2.40919E+11 R/O responded to a call for service regarding a Suspect who failed to properly complete the screening process at a House Office Building. The Suspect was suspected of having a firearm. R/O interviewed the Suspect in an attempt to locate the firearm. The Suspect admitted that he left the firearm on a red fire department connection box in the building garage. CSS responded to the scene to recover the firearm. The firearm was loaded with four (4) 9mm rounds in a magazine and zero (0) in the chamber. The recovered magazine was large-capacity and capable of holding more than ten (10) rounds of ammunition. CIS responded and confirmed that the Suspect did not possess a license to carry a pistol or have a registered firearm within Washington, D.C. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 16:58:00 2.40919E+11 R/O observed a vehicle that failed to completely stop at the corner of Second and E Streets NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Second Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
BENCH WARRANT- MISD 14:49:00 2.40919E+11 R/O made contact with the Suspect in the 400 Block of Delaware Avenue NE. The Suspect matched the description of a BOLO simulcasted by USCP Communications. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active warrant out of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DEFACING PUBLIC PROPERTY- MISD 18:00:00 2.40919E+11 R/O responded to the Unit Block of E Street NE for the defacement of two public signs. Photos of the damage were taken by R/O and the scene was cleared. CSS was notified, but did not respond to the scene.
RECKLESS DRIVING + DUI 16:16:00 2.40918E+11 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE cross the yellow line into oncoming traffic nearly striking a vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O noticed the Suspect appeared lethargic, and their speech was delayed and slow. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
