NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 16:12:00 240831002257 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 400 Block of New Jersey Ave SE with a expired tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of First Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag belonged to another vehicle and the Suspect had no valid permit in Maryland, District of Columbia, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 19:03:00 240831002258 R/O observed a vehicle in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW with extensive damage to the bumper. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check by USCP Communications revealed a suspended registration on the vehicle. The check also revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM - MISD 11:30:00 240830002246 R/O responded to the South Capitol Entrance of the Longworth House Office Building for the report of an individual making threats over the phone. The Complainant stated an unknown Suspect made threats to do bodily harm to them by both phone call and text messaging. The Complainant was advised to also report this to their local police department. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 22:12:00 240830002250 R/O observed a vehicle traveling with no lights on in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. R/O initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of First and D Streets NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT FIRST DEGREE (STOLEN AUTO) 10:39:00 240830002245 R/O responded to the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE for the report of a stolen vehicle. The Complainant stated they parked their vehicle at approximately 0700 hours and when they returned at 1035 hours the vehicle was missing. All attempts to locate the vehicle were met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 15:45:00 240830002247 R/O observed a traffic accident in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver of the struck vehicle had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 9:03:00 240829002238 R/O was alerted via license plate reader to a vehicle bearing a stolen registration at the intersection of South Capitol and M Streets SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1200 Block of First Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle's registration was associated with a stolen vehicle out of Fairfax County, VA. A check of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) revealed the vehicle was not stolen and was not currently registered to the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSSESSION OF UNREGISERED AMMUNITION UNLAWFUL POSSESS/TRANSFER OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE 9:35:00 240829002240 R/O discovered a loaded firearm and extra magazine inside the Suspect's bag during an administrative search at the Blue Plains Offsite Facility. MPD Firearms Registration Branch confirmed the Suspect did not possess a District of Columbia concealed carry permit, and that the firearm and ammunition were not registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene, and CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
ASSAULT ON A FEDERAL POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) + UNLAWFUL ENTRY 22:24:00 240829002242 R/O observed the Suspect in a restricted area of the South Mezzanine exit of the Capitol Visitor Center. A/O directed the Suspect to exit the restricted area, the Suspect struck A/O in the chest with a closed fist. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 2ND OFFENSE + FAILURE TO APPEAR (USAO) POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE PERMIT REVOKED - OAR 8:20:00 240828002228 R/O observed a vehicle pass a solid red light at the Intersection of First Street and Constitution Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NE. Upon approach, R/O requested license and registration in which the Suspect stated they did not have a license or vehicle registration. The Suspect appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a failure to appear warrant out of DC Superior Court and the license was revoked in the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. SFST's were unable to be conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. While conducting inventory search of the vehicle, an open bottle of alcohol was located on the passenger seat.
